Last month was the world's warmest February in modern times, the EU's climate service says, extending the run of monthly records to nine in a row.

Each month since June 2023 has seen new temperature highs for the time of year.

The world's sea surface is at its hottest on record, while Antarctic sea-ice has again reached extreme lows.

Temperatures are still being boosted by the Pacific's El Niño weather event, but human-caused climate change is by far the main driver of the warmth.

"Heat-trapping greenhouse gases are unequivocally the main culprit," stresses Prof Celeste Saulo, Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization.

    Discovered Rebellion yesterday too.

Could see a market for 2000AD merch, but who's buying 'Battle'?  Also saw a new range of 'Labyrinth' toys in the (shit) 70s/80s figure style.

I get why kids would like cool looking accurate figures and models from McFarlane, also why adults might like a 3A Desert Bramble or ABC Warrior.

Are adults buying retro tat harking back to a time before they got mugged off and the future looked less bleak?

You could imagine Daryl McCormack's mates getting some mileage out of this.

"They needed a helmet and you were first name on the list" etc.

It’s fascinating, HSBC have announced they are not renewing their lease in 2027. So in advance of that there is development money to attract science projects to the area and new housing to the area to make the transition as seamless as possible. Years in advance of a building being vacated.

Imagine a similar level of forward planning and investment for steel workers or car makers or ship builders.

One of the more boggling aspects of Tory Brexit was manufacture and agriculture were to take the hit, and that bit was in the Brexit brochure, known and picked up on by the media.

The Tories have done an amazing job since 2010 according to this speech, I didn’t realise all this time.

    Job as in bank job.

  6. With a nice record deck and a habit of digitising records it would be an A/D for the nice record deck for me.

The proof of the pud is in the tasting, ultimately. You're content. Carry on :)
