    For me it all depends on how a player leaves. If he slags us off on the way out then I'd find it very difficult to have any respect for him irrespective of what he may have done for us in the past. Certainly there have been players who may have only been at Villa for a few years and not exactly achieved anything who I have applauded - only before the match, though But boo him? No, not as things stand.

    Well if you really want to be pedantic there are 7.5 as we are into the afternoon. You see, what chance have we got of agreeing on how many players we'll sign when we can't even agree on the number of days left You can join my pedant's club, Trent 7.5 and 2 it is then (that's days and signings) :winkold:

    If we're being pedantic (well, it's not pedantry really, it's a fact) there are 8 days left (including today) in the window, not 7

    Whatever happened to us signing Maloney? At one point this seemed like it was a "done deal". Gone very quiet.

    After 15 pages there's not much I can add that hasn't already been said before so I'll just echo the sentiments here! Welcome and thank you General! Thank you for giving us all hope again after so many years of misery. Thank you for giving us the belief that the future is going to be bright. And thank you for joining us on this site. I suspect that yourself and Mr Lerner will never have to buy a pint in Birmingham again.

    I fully expect really important news between 13.10 and about 15.30 tomorrow as having spent months glued to VT waiting for news I'll be in mid air at this point
