Can I just say he certainly wasn't one of the worst full backs we've had in the last 10 years. He did have some good games for us.

However he's a symbol of the bad points to Mon's management. Why sign a 32 year old on 40k a week when Luke Young was at the club and then it was decided that Cuellar would play most of the season at RB anyway.

Indeed best part of 100k a week on 2 RB's over 30 only to play a CB there !!!

Not that I belive this story ..but thinking logically when he came in he wanted to be successful and pumped alot of cash in and we failed.Now with the FFP rules he can't pump cash in even if he had the means or wanted to so the club is going backwards.

By the way, "selling club"? Are Villa any more of a selling club than Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs? They've all sold just as much talent (and for just as much money) over the past few years. The media tends not to dwell on this, for whatever reason.

Aston Villa successfully sold a midfield quartet of Barry, Young, Downing and Milner in three successive summer windows. Selling your best players in three years would suggest selling. That none of them have been replaced says something as well. Have Liverpool, Arsenal & Spurs done anything like that?

Spurs and Liverpool have replaced players they sold quite well ,Arsenal you could argue have not done much better than us.Nasri , Fabragas ,Henry ,Adebayor ..none of them really replaced that well

The problem with selling Bent for me is

1) I can't for the life of me think we could attract a player in the £15mil to £20mil price range now ..unless we are grossly over paying

2)The wage bill is our issue we are told , well say we sold him for £30mil wages wise even if he is on say £80k a week you would struggle to get 2 players in with that as your weekly budget between them.Unless you use the fee as part of the wages ...

Warnock for me is like Collins always gives 100% and will have a game where he will throw himself in front of every attack and you think great defending.Then you relise he has to do that to cover for poor positioning and you look at what he cost (and collins ) and think we could have done better.

TBH the Nike shirt I have the build quality is shocking ,my old diadora shirt has held up better so I am not that fussed to be honest who makes it as long as the thing does'nt start falling apart after one wash !!

I throught summer was depressing but this Jan looks to be even worse ...

I didn't think he was the best man for the job and still don't but some of the problems we have ..struggling to break down teams at home is hardly a new issue.

I think there seems to be this idea from up high to sort out the wages and get the club running correctly the issue is they seems to forget that success brings income.Apparantly we did ok with the Genting sponsorship I can't see us getting a good deal next time.Attendances are also falling.

What's frustrating for me is that the top 4 this season is as open as ever !! but we sold our best players and our star striker is not scoring due to this and some of the awful football we are playing.Just very frustrating and demoralising at the moment.

If this did happen any good will for the Lerner will be gone you can not sell 3 players of the ilk of Downing ,Young and Bent in the same season and have fan's accept it.

I doub it will happen this season anyway and it would take a huge fee to make it happen as well so I won't worry too much yet.

Shows with Albrighton and N'Zogbia in form we can be a threat and will supply Bent and Gabby..we just need to sort the CM out.
