No such thing as a friendly for a professional footballer!! But totally agree, good half from Villa and I too am actually enjoying watching us play. If we can just nick one goal, I think we could hang on and win it.. P.S: In the event of 0-0 at 90 minutes, is it extra time and pens or just straight pens after 90 minutes? -
Sloppy by the one player you expect to be experienced at this stage of the game...

Poor performance, but there are a few positives to take from it... Lichaj and Albrightons continuing progression.. They both look like future stars and I am sure that Bannan will also be pushing for 1st team action next season. Our next game is not till 29th July, so hopefully it will give the players a little more time to adjust to the heat... We may have new signings in by the 29th.... Negatives.... Ermmm... Nope, will hold my tongue!! I think anyone that watched the game will see the negatives for themselves..

Maybe - but we don't have our squad to gel yet. Although I agree Pilchard.. We have had what we have got since the players reported back, so regardless of the 4 players missing, we should have seen some fluency from the players on show tonight, especially as they have been pre-season training without said missing players...

I don't think it is about slagging the team off, I just expect a bit more, pre-season or not.. We should be at the stage in pre-season where our work rate and performance is stepping up and things are starting to gel... Apparently not judging by tonights performance... And I think anyone that thinks different is kidding themselves... Tonight was/is poor, pre-season or not..

Good to see the fringe players like Albrighton and Licahj showing the rest of the 'seniors' up. Those 2 have been the best Villa players on the pitch tonight

Very interesting change... The 2 players capable of doing something in this game (Ash Young and Petrov) both off for Bannan and Osbourne... I hope MON knows what he is doing??
