  1. Well I saw him before he joined us and thought he was not all that.  Over weight,  slow,  didnt get into positions and basically did fa. But he looks the real deal in this division for us now.  Glad he's ours

Where I do agree is that Bruce clearly wants more "high energy" players in midfield to do the closing and chasing and so on which is essential

Or midfielders as they are called at other clubs

    Humble pie anyone?

I am going to pick you up on this.

I'm not sure that your inference is an entirely fair reflection of the debate prior to the managerial appointment or the events post the managerial appointment and it doesn't at all fairly frame the situation.

What I think is a much better,  balanced and fair narrative is that there were some people on board and supportive of the appointment having all the evidence they wanted and some people not at all on board requiring more assurance of the appointment.  I am not sure now that that assurance has been given particularly as,  from my reading of the debate,  the issue seemed to revolve around the longevity of his stint as manager and whether or not he would,  could or should be a long term appointment.  In fact in this last item there were a number of those broadly in favour of him being our manager who suggested that it should only be a short term appointment which very much became the crux of the debate for me short term v long term.  Not many thought he was ideally suited to long term,

So I'd say it is highly unlikely whether the humble pie to which you refer will ever be eaten.  In fact people were saying we should give him a chance before judging so I'd even suggest that that chance should be given,  and it is not 3 games.  Either way we are winning games and getting points and is something for us all to be thankful of rather than points against each other.

You really are desperate to find something dodgy about him, aren't you?  What will it take for you to accept that he's not an asset-stripping supervillain planning the destruction of our club and western civilisation as we know it?

Not sure that your post is either fair or an accurate extrapolation of what Peterns posted

like a Jedi are you TRO!

    Bonkers (but brilliant) haha

    PS are you drunk?

The manager has been inspired by TRO as well.  I heard in the team talk before the match he said to them "these are not the draws you are looking for"

  7. First of all I am delighted by the win, it's been a while but really pleasing.

however I am amazed at how one penalty two minutes before the end of a match has basically changed everything for so many people.

before and during the match right up to the penalty the selection was criticised , individual player performances were criticised. But that one penalty and everything seems ok now. The selection wasn't a problem , Gardner and bacuna are suddenly better players ,what went before the penalty seems to have been forgotten . Being critical of the original team selection is frowned upon, being critical of the actual performance for 99.9% of the game is shunned .

such is the miraculous healing power of one penalty two minutes before the end of the match . I guess we were all that desperate for a win

Just because you don't like it doesn't make it crap. We've not won games with teams that you, me and others have liked.

He set us up, he made changes and after 90 minutes we have a win.

Can't believe after the first win in so long your critical about it.

    My critical what ?

Lots of eye brows raised with the team selection but guess what? We actually had a system, a game plan and most importantly some ******* fight.

Not sure what he did or said to the players after the Wolves game but whatever it was it worked.

Seriously ? The team that finished bore no resemblance to the team he picked. Dodgy selections at full back, dodgy selections in the middle and no Ayew . Ayew comes on and guess what we look threatening. A last minute penalty does not disguise the fact we were poor for most of the match and his team selections were crap.

i am , however, delighted we have won we need more of those to keep us away from relegation
