The word removed has had more than enough clean slates, I wouldn't even let him train with other players.
yep for me some people are beyond redemption and he is one. We have enough strikers at the club and I would argue every one of them is better than Agbonlahor anyway

no, strange as it seems I post on this site as I support Villa, yes I know how absurd. So really I want us to win the matches we actually play.

I have to question the judgment of giving him a 30 year contract and a brand new Lamborghini every day if true.
Hey Rob, thanks for posting. Yes I may question that as well but to be honest my scenario is more likely than yours isnt it and I guess yours was just PFE.
I've seen some posts of yours the last few days criticising some fans for being overly negative and that that may actually contribute to the club not performing well. It's also clear that you and a fair few others are happy with the Buce appointment. You know what thats fine. I'm not going to have a go at fans or little digs or patronise just because they feel differently about the manager than I do. As a Villa fan I hope that they are proved right, I have my doubts and will continue to do so. Awarding him a five year contract is one of them.

surprised we've seen no news on this. I had heard that Clarke had left his role but not seen this confirmed either

Why? Are the club making noises that they are disappointed?
No of course not but I wasn't going to say it was me who rolled over in bed as that would feel too weird

It genuinely wasn't meant to be offensive Richard, I'd hoped you might take the joke. It's all got a bit serious really. The Lambert joke makes a point though, you are on a just on a different side of the argument this time.
I do half mean it though. There's lots of different reasons why I think this could be a really good fit. In short, I think the limitations people place on him are in large part down to the clubs he has managed and their respective resources. Much like Allardyce, I think there might be more to him if provided with the backing a bigger club can provide.
Could be totally wrong, I mean I would have kept Lambert and I wouldn't have sacked RDM either, so I'm not much of a judge. Hope he gets a proper chance though, that's the main thing.
Another krulak comment!

He's going to be our best manger since Ron Saunders
Well , despite the fact I think your comment is not serious and just a point scoring exercise from a manager 5 people ago, I hope so too. Personally I doubt it and that is all this is about . Difference of opinions.

Awful awful choice and a huge mistake. Been following Villa 40+ years. This is just one more monumental error of judgement.

If we assume that if making the playoffs from our current position is a success. What will be considered a failure?
If we finish below 10th I think the DR. has to look at things and decide what he does with Bruce next.
UTV
ANything less than promotion constitutes failure surely? For me I dont expect it but so many people say they want to go up this year and he is the man to do it and when we do get up he will be gone anyway as he is only appointed to get us up so whatever happens next summer he will be gone either we go up or dont

Why do Central News always report from outside the ugly North Stand ?
Because the stand is so ugly they need something to make Bruce look handsome

That if you struggle to understand simple concepts - like giving a manager who hasn't even been confirmed a chance - then should you be in a position to punish and admonish other posters lest you get it wrong? Absolutely nowhere did I say he wasn't allowed an opinion nor because he was a mod but it doesn't surprise me that those were the outcomes some of you jumped to tbh.
Doesnt surprise me either as quite frankly it was a ludicrous thing to have said, the he was a MOD bit, which left it open to exactly that kind of inference.

It's what you chose to infer from my post.
Ok to clarify for me, why say he is a MOD?

what? Let me get this straight when Steve Bruce achieves the goal of making us a top 5 team in world football?
A few things from that, if you dont mind
1. Even those supporting him say he is just here to get us up as he is not a long term appointment
2. If he does make us a top 5 team in world football whatever would anybody want to get rid of him for ? It would be an amazing achievement.
