The job Steve Bruce has done so far us actually incrediBle. Even O Neil didn't start as well as Bruce has

As much as I'm happy with our results I'm not over estimating things. It's hardly Leicester winning the title stuff. We spent a fortune we have one of the better squads in this league , we are performing as one of the better teams . I'd also say Bruce has some pretty low comparisons , RDM, Garde., Sherwood , Black which can inflate the opinion of the job he is doing

I have no idea why Gabby or any other player is in the team. i, I don't spend my week working with the AVFC squad or have any experience managing sportsmen.  I do know that AVFC went away to the team second from top in the Championship and came away with a point.  Since Steve Bruce has become manager the team that I support has made significant improvements.    I will be leaving in an hour to start travelling to Villa park to support them team and in particular the ones the manager chooses to put on the pitch.

The logical extrapolation from that is that we do not discuss players or our opinion of whether they should be in the team or not, may as well close the site

What better motivation on Saturday than having Neil Warnock doubt him.

Perhaps proving it to 20odd thousand fans of the club that employs him many of whom have genuine and real doubts?

If a Brian Little or Gary Shaw was looming I would take a tempered view, but they are not.

How do we know they arent unless we try. In terms of where we are,  I would respectfully suggest that on the basis of what you have said we are going to be in the here and now for a while,  here and now to get promotion, here and now to stay up,  here and now to stabilise ? when will we develop.?

See I do not believe it is as black and white as you are suggesting.  Sure we need results and yes it is pretty pressing but isnt that the case for most teams at different levels,  and they manage to develop players.  It is not a full team but one or two,  most of the team are her and now,  how many do we have we are developing?

You are vastly over playing the influence Gabby has here especially under an excellent man manager like Bruce. If he is a naughty boy again then you won't see him anywhere near the first team under Bruce again.

Nope.  I am being realistic with the fragility of the improved atmosphere at the club among the fanbase. Agbonlahor is not liked ,  is seen as a disruptive person at the club taking the piss out of it.  People may bite their tongues more because they like the manager but i firmly believe that should Agbonlahor even have a suggestion of a slip about him,  regardless of Bruce dropping him or not,  that will have a bad affect on the atmosphere.

he has less of a chance of the fans excusing it as RHM for example who ,  although less experienced,  has more leeway and could develop. With Agbonlahor none of those exist

Warnock said luxury player unless team is biild around him is not a team player (along those lines)

Hard to disagree.  if he would have added "total waste of money at that price" he could not have been closer to the truth

Not a gabby fan mate but I like Bruce so as much as I dont like it I will accept it.

I wont. Steve Bruce may be growing on me (well some aspects are growing on me like results long may it continue) I will not absolve him ,  the players he picks or the players he wants to sign from criticism purely because the manager is ok.

On Agbonlahor I absolutely fail to see ,  or accept,  what added value he can bring whatsoever.  He does not score or look threatening.  His pace is shot. He has no football brain. He is a spent force,  such as that "force" ever was.  Indeed ,  IMO, he has the potential to bring a halt to the positive vibes seeing as in many quarters he is tied inextricably to the failures of the club over the last few years with him being one of the main piss takers given the huge salary he is on.  One failure,  one glimmer of failure,  on his part and the whole pack of cards come tumbling down.  It is a high risk strategy on the part of the manager and one he has no need to take

Rich can i ask from the points total Bruce has obtained thus far, did you think he would do worse, better or about this points tally?

I thought we'd lose at home to Wolves .  If you're asking if i'm happy with the points we have yes absolutely as we needed to win games and pull away from yet another relegation fight!

give me 12 from every 15pts till May and I wont care about the 1 defeat or the 3 draws

Just to be pedantic.  12 points from 15 is basically 5 games? So 12 points is 4 wins from 5 games so I see your one defeat line.  However if it is 3 draws in a 5 game spell that means it is maximum 9 points not 12 as it leaves two games where we can only achieve 6 points to add to your three draws.

  11. We need to be playing better . Also we really can't afford one or two slip ups, we need to be winning games for a fair few weeks just to catch up. That puts pressure on. If we were playing better football maybe but we are just not imposing ourselves on games
