you would think general sale will be in person only.  The website would crash if it's a free for all! Also allows ticket touts to have a field day!

Yes I understand, but the club say general sale starts online.

  2. If they do get to General Sale, and I suspect they will, that does not leave much time for posting out. I wanted to ask if anyone who has already secured a ticket, are they selling tickets that you can print at home?

  3. Not much point in throwing on three strikers if they are all going to stand with each other every time a cross comes in.

Not convinced Kodja was the right substitution and Hogan for Grabban was the correct substitution but about 15 mins earlier than when he came on.

Nice to see a ref let the game flow though, for a change.

  4. Poor management of striker situation for something that was known well in advance.

Either a massive misjudgement to think Gabby could do the job, or the decision has been made to throw the towel in on chasing this season hard already.

Problem is will Kodja be at Villa next season?

There's been so many changes since last season, we have to focus on the common factor between last year and this year, the thing that hasn't changed, because that must be the problem.

Nicky Keye, go now.  Just go.

Is Kevin Macdonald still at the club?

You know what the most hilarious thing about this shite show? Their Clark marshaled defence couldn't look more comfortable, doesn't get any more damning than that.

The most disappointing thing about the half. I expect that if we can put them under pressure second half, their defence will look as bad as ours. Really disappointing that we have not done so already. If Gestede is fit I would get him on now and change formation. We are making it far too easy for them.

  7. Very different from a week ago, nice to see he went with Gestede and Kozak up front. Hopefully the players will now understand what VP can be like when they are having a go and irrespective of the results until May at least going to the Villa will be a better experience than it has been in recent times.

Negatives, Lescott giving up for their goal, but most of all, the officials, I still remember Darren Cann ruining the game against WBA for getting Herd sent off and a penalty against us - if he was able to run the line in a WC final I wonder what quality the rest must be like.

  8. Bunn 6 - Did what he was expected to do but showed the kicker which way to put the penalty by moving too early.

Richards 5 - Captain of the strangest defensive line I've seen by virtue of him being so far up the field compared to the others

    Okore 6

    Clarke 6

Richardson 5 - Did ok but incredibly frustrating decisions made on the ball

Gana 5 - I like his work rate but he should never be allowed within 25 yards of their goal without an obvious pass available to him.

Sinclair 2 - Probably the worse I have seen him play, a shadow of the player in last years FA Cup

Westwood 2 - This doesn't include the penalty because I don't believe it should have been given but his passing, tackling and distribution against a league 2 team don't look anything like I've ever expected of an Aston Villa player in 45 years of watching us.

Gil 7 - Class act but lightweight and I could understand him being substituted sadly

Bacuna 4 - Probably took 80 mins to work out what he was meant to be doing because of where Richards was playing.

Gestede 1 - He does know that he is allowed to move doesn't he?

Subs - Not going to comment apart from Congrats to Lyden on your debut.

Poor Ref - never a penalty

Their players are going to be disappointed because one of them said they are looking forward to the replay in front of a big crowd. On the other hand I can see them winning.

Back to the Villa, they ain't just lacking confidence, that was one of the most lethargic and uncoordinated performances I have ever seen.

Expect a comfortable Palace win in midweek and I take no joy in saying that at all. The whole place needs a massive clear out.

  9. Best chance to have had three points surrendered by awful negative tactics first half.

Well refereed in difficult conditions apart from not booking Thauvin on at least one occasion.

    Ayew 9.5/10

Ok Carlos here's your question. you are cut adrift, bottom of the league, their defence is jittery, their penalty box is loaded with your teammates, there's 40 seconds left. The ball comes to you and you have plenty of time. What are you going to do with it?

  10. I do think his time's up now. It's strange though because we haven't been thumped like we were under Lambert but equally should have taken more from so many close score lines. I expect him not to be in charge before the next game but also think that the problem at the club is much deeper than just the manager. This club needs a Graham Taylor Mark 1 revolution. That took place in the league below and sadly irrespective of the identity of any new manager that's where I think we will be next August.

  11. Only the Villa can do this. Nightmare 15 mins under pressure for Bacuna after the penalty appeal 5 year contract? Seriously? Guzan at fault for the 3rd goal, Sanchez from looking imposing to treading water in the last ten minutes and it all started from that ridiculous substitution - introducing a bloke who was so far off the pace he would have struggled in a game in the conference. This should have been a great result reflecting on two great goals from the midfield. Thanks Tim.

  12. ANYONE would be better. Literally anyone.

Get a bloke off the streets who can get this team playing better.

Whilst i agree he has to go i'd be gutted if we ended up with someone like Neil Warnock. I have little faith Lerner and Fox could attract the right candidates
I've seen Neil Warnock take over and really motivate players in the short term. As short term is a likely scenario, I would rather have him than this manager who cannot get this group of players performing where they should be - well above this pitiful current level

  13. That was the most hopeless performance of the season, and that is some feat considering the multitude of garbage games served up this season. No pace, no creativity, no fight. I'd rather go to the dentist and have a filling than have to sit through that again. About as big a low as Doncaster away, hopeless.
