    I dunno.

I expect they wanted pictures of them fighting back groups of anarchists trying to deface war memorials.

Not pictures of pissed-up fat blokes pissing on a murdered policeman's memorial after the people they wanted to fight just decided to do it on a different day.

Maybe, but the demographic they're aiming for aren't going to be paying attention to the MSM and won't be reading the stories and looking at the  pictures that will be in the papers tomorrow.

Their were plenty of attacks on the press today apparently.

They'll be all over Twitter sharing the pictures and messages of gangs of black youths with knifes attacking them and using them to reinforce the stereotypes of lawless inner city gangs taking over their cities.

  3. I think the organisers of today's 'counter protest'  will have got what they wanted out of today.

On my FB I'm seeing people showing pictures/videos of the lad with the knife and bloodied protesters from people i went to school with and very few posts about the attacks on police.

The circle of violence is well and truly rolling.

So can people go back to work, if they cant work from home. What about shops??

Everyone that wasn't told to stop working should go back basically.

I don't understand what that last paragraph is getting at. How can you 'be' outside your house without 'leaving' it? It's the same thing.

Sitting in your front garden chatting to neighbours?

Out for a run today. Definitely seems more busy. More cars about and more people. I think people are breaching the lockdown more as boredom is kicking in.

A friend of mine mentioned the factory he works at are opening Monday with reduced staff, could be that their has been a government tip off of relaxing some of the lockdown rules

My work did the same this Monday, To be fair to them their was never any guidance or legislation put in place that meant factories had to close, as far as im aware. I think most just did it because they felt it was the right thing to do.

Been running off and on since these posts. Can't believe it's been 7-8 months since them!

I'm a mile away from where I used to be and struggling to add distance to my runs. I kind of top out at 6k.

I did a 10k in October in Sutton Park and came in JUST over an hour, like 13 seconds or something (although my strava said it was longer than 10k and my actual 10k time was under an hour, but I'm not bitter). But it was absolutely everything I had. I don't think I've ever run a race where I didn't have enough in the tank for a sprint finish, but that was definitely one of them. I had nothing left coming over the line. I used my last ounce of strength to wave at @lp_villa830 as we passed each other on the course :)

I had a couple of weeks off after that and since then I've been in a bit of a rut. ONe day I'll go out and do 5k around Sutton and absolutely smash it (relatively speaking). Then a couple of days later I'll go out and attempt 6k and be dying. Seem to be very up and down. As a result I'm still circling around that 5 or 6k mark.

The same Sutton 10k run is coming around again Feb 22nd. I've entered but feel totally unprepared for it. So much so I'm thinking of not doing it :(
Targeting the Great Birmingham 10k in May as a realistic goal for a post 30 years old PB :D

    I'll give you another wave...

Really struggled for motivation so far this year, hoping the 10k will get me back in the groove. Custard Creams have been my down fall, need to knock them on the head to get any improvement on my current times I think.

I'm not convinced by him but he does have a good track record. This is the guy who signed Aguero for Athletico Madrid remember. Like DS we need to give him time. We fluked promotion and its meant we've had to build a whole team in one window. Very hard to do.

I have never waited to see a GP. I can always get an appointment on the day, if you don't mind seeing a junior doctor that is

Do people really have to wait or are people actually waiting to see the GP they are registered with? I am registered with a Dr Wright at my surgery and I have seen him once in 17 years

I have seen him about 50 times at the golf course though

My missus needed to see the doctor last week, earliest appointment she could get with any doctor was 2 Weeks later. In the end she went to the walk-in centre in Erdington and they told her to go A&E.

  10. Well the two lads at my work who say it are ex-squaddies so I'd assume they know they what it means.

Its all just meaningless ranting mainly, but it does show you how entrenched people's feelings are on the situation. People expecting Johnsons latest outbursts and actions to massively negatively effect him in the polls are mistaken based on my personal experiences.

A large part of me suspects he doesn't give a ****. He doesn't care what happens with Brexit. He just wants an election. If he can't get a deal passed, it just gets spun as out of touch elite Remoaner parliamentarians defying the people when all poor old Eton and Oxford educated related to various royal families Prime Minister Johnson wants to do is fulfill the democratic will of the people.

It's so transparent it's nearly funny.

At my place of work(a small manufacturing firm of about 40 people in the middle of Brum) I'd say the vast majority of people voted out, unfortunately despite the tactics being so transparent most are falling for it.

Even when the odd person disagrees with one of Boris' tactics the usual caveat to it is that the Remainers/EU are forcing him to do it.

Every time Brexit gets bought up or discussed the usual bluster comes out and theirs no changing minds or opinions. I've heard it all, including people saying their will be civil war if Brexit doesn't happen.
