    If Lerner announces he's staying and is committed to supplying more funds for fees and wages (and actually lives up to the promise) who would be happy with this?

    I think I would be providing a director of football is brought in to oversee the medium to long term progress of the club.

    I'm a little concerned that new owners will change things that should be left well alone.

    If I had millions in the bank, and thought that resigning would save (some of) my reputation which could lead to a decent job sooner, then yes I'd walk.

    Still, considering it appears that he's done exactly what Lerner has asked of him I would have thought that a golden handshake would be agreed regardless of what the official line was.

    I wonder if that 80%(ish) poll result in favour of PL going has changed now safety has been reached?

    If we are interested in / actively pursuing anyone, surely that means that next seasons manager is known and is currently involved in this summers transfers?

    Plus it's cherry picking an example of 1 player from 1 club.

    You'd need to look at the cost of complete squads and the breakdown of players that cost less than a couple of £M and who are on lower wages. Then you enter the debate on whether Lambert did / didn't have the option of buying less, better quality players.

    This is not meant to be a loaded question.....just interested to know.

    To all those still happy for him to stay.....what would he have to do for you to want him gone?

    Fail on a bigger budget, I imagine.

    I really think Bacuna needs to be pushed up behind the striker(s).

    The pace of Albrighton, Bacuna and Gabby surging forward in a line could cause them problems.

    So i'd start with something similar to what others have suggested:

    -----------------Guzan-----------------

    Lowton------Vlaar----Clark-----Bertrand

    ---------KEA------------Delph----------

    Albrighton------Bacuna------------Gabby

    -----------------Holt------------------

    Maybe Westwood instead of KEA, but I'd prefer to have KEA's tackling ability to steal balls and set up counter attacks through the speed of Albrighton, Bacuna and Gabby.

    If Gabby doesn't show replace with Tonev

    When Holt's flagging swap with Robinson (I'm assuming Helenius won't be in the squad?)

    £1 stake and you could buy the club with the winnings
    Actually I think you'd get around 200/1 looking at the odds floating around

    cack, so we'd need to get 100,000 of us to put in a £10 and then we could buy it as a consortium if we win all 3?
