    Good deal then!

I get a lot of yellows too. One season Lucas Hernandez got 31 yellows in all competitions. It was ridiculous. Needless to say he spent a lot of time suspended!

Sounds good. Do you still have Boadu and Bella-Kotchap starting for you? I’ve ended up selling Bella-Kotchap too as he was unhappy with playing time, so sold him for about £50m. Squad players hold good value when you’re winning the league and doing well in Europe. A good way to make profit and reinvest.

I sold Bella-Kotchap for £70m which was amazing as he was never a starter for me. My centre half pairing is Todibo and Armini. Boadu is still going strong, 61 goals in all comps last season, well over 200 for me in 5 seasons!

  2. Well this season I made £450m on sales and spent like £30m on prospects. The newgens that have come in look fantastic but time will tell. Just did the league and champions league double, 3rd league in a row, 2nd champions league in a row.

Could you be any more racist?! It’s only the plague* FFS.

    *Also came from China.

A different point but ivory is highly valued in certain cultures (including incidentally China), as a result of this African elephants are being driven into extinction. Do we care more about 'othering' other cultures or preventing a wonderful species from becoming extinct?

It isn’t weird shit, it’s different to what you perceive to be the the norm.

My point was wondering what makes it weird shit? Why is a snake less acceptable than a jellied eel?

All these diseases start somewhere and then make the cross over. That ducks in the U.S. may have started Spanish flu that killed 75 million, that the UK fed its sheep to its cows and managed to get BSE in the food chain. That doesn’t make a whole people or culture **** up in the head.

It was the insinuation that China is ‘other’ that I was objecting to. That it could do a lot to drag people and practises up to more modern health standards in a lot of areas is beyond dispute.

Very Saidian. Not that I disagree but I'm happy to call it weird. I appreciate it that it's a cultural norm over there and embedded over very many years but doesn't make it any less weird to me to want to eat bats for instance, which are extremely disgusting animal which can carry everything from rabis to ebola.

Oysters? Pheasant? Frogs? Pigs? Crabs? Quail? Eels? Swans? Lamprey? Foie Gras? Veal?

The Chinese eat a lot of weird shit so obviously increases the likelihood of zoonosis when bats, mice and snakes are common 'dishes'. The SARS virus is thought to originate from bats, the coronovirus potentially (to be confirmed) from snakes.

I really hope this 5 at the back thing is only temporary.

What 3 centre backs is it takes away one of the forward players, whether it's a midfielder or attacker. And basically what this is is damage limitation tactics with 3 at the back.

Let's call a spade a spade here. We're going 5 at the back because we don't wanna get embarrassed.

Yeah I really hope this system which has delivered massive improvements to performances and results is only a temporary thing. I really hope he abandons it soon.

  7. OGS sarcastically thanking a Tranmere player for comments he made that helped 'fire them up'. Really shows what a small time club they've become. SAF would never stoop so low.

I think in the cup it does

Depends if villa seriously think Nyland has a future here be it 1, 2 or 5 years down the line, mentally you're killing him, if he's dropped regardless of my opinion or your opinion on his ability that's Smith stating his opinion on him, that's him finished here

He's finished regardless. Won't be here next season.

  9. I pretty much have a conveyor belt and recycle a lot of my first team every 3-4 seasons. Ultimately players get unhappy about contracts and when you negotiate they want ridiculous appearance fees, at that point I get rid of them.

I feel like no-one remembers that Stuart Taylor and Stefan Postma played for us when they're having this conversation. Nyland isn't a keeper I particularly rate, but he's definitely not the worst I've seen between the sticks for us.

Neither did much wrong, Nyland was consistently making howlers or letting in awfully soft goals in the Championship.

We know because you tell us every time his name is mentioned.

    EVEN when he performs well.

His last performance was against Man City were he was appalling for two of the goals and poor for another. Shouldn't be getting a look in.

I can't see any post saying he has a bad track record?

Even so, he went from playing a lot of games (even if regularly on the bench) for Leipzig in that season, to barely featuring at all in 2018/19, to being loaned out to Monaco this season... and then barely playing for them.  It isn't exactly the normal path of an exciting prospect, so I'm curious as to why we've particularly missed out.

Leipzig are a top side, currently top of table and invested in attacking areas in order to push on etc. Doesn't really need Nancy Drew to investigate this mystery, as things stand he's not good enough to play for a side who are top of the table and also in the Champions League. Doesn't make mean he wouldn't improve us and isn't a talent player.
