One Tomy Angel?
-
I'm going to wear my away shirt at work instead of a high-vis
-
Is there ever a chance of us bringing in Angels' son?
-
Of those who are still playing Bouma, Mellberg and Angel.
Olof is a free agent at the moment too.
I'd like them to come back to pass on their knowledge, fill up the squad and give us all a smile.
-
He may swallow his pride and take a wage cut etc to anyone who offers him first team football as he came to us and was loaned to Sunderland because he didn't get first team football at Spurs and hated being on the bench so I can't see him wanting to be second choice for us.
-
All the best to Stan.
-
If Lambert doesn't buy duffers and refuse to move them on, offend almost the whole squad then unfortunately have to vacate the post because of illness or play seven defenders at once he will at least be more successful than our three previous managers' biggest downfalls.
He will also have to maintain a good league position for more than one season, buy a crucial player and...erm...have an unbeaten run of more than seven games to match their biggest positives.
-
Maybe Roncrete will be the first of a new era of great Dutch defenders.
-
I really like Weimann, proper dogfighter and in my opinion, with his workrate, intelligence, willingness to try things and determination, the best partner for Bent out of the strikers currently at the club.
Will benefit a lot from working closely with Bent on the pitch and in training.
I don't think he has any obvious or disappointing weaknesses in his game as a striker apart from inexperience.
-
Hopefully we sort out on the pitch matters this season and then move on to exciting developments around the pitch next season.
-
How do people think he's looked in the friendlies so far?
I think he's looked ok, working on getting up to the pace and fitness needed like the rest of his squad. But his eagerness is apparent, his hunger, that's probably a better word, and I admire that.

Lets hope for the same score-line 18th August 2012
-
I was watching Sturridge closely in the Olympics earlier and my thought process went "Mmm he is a bit greedy isn't he....Oh what a finish!"

Think logically and you'll see Newcastle aren't on his radar AT ALL
Because he wants to stay at Anfield?
-
I think we're third on Carrolls' list behind Newcastle and Milan.
-
In relation to Guidetti, scoring 20 goals in 23 games at any level or any standard is a fantastic achievement and clear indication of talent.
-
Or Rod Fanni - he's a left back
-
I don't think we can judge Gardner in a make or break sense until the end of the 2013/2014 season. but for now, regardless of comparisons to others or not, Gardner looks like a hungry, busy Midfielder eager to learn from those more experienced around him.
-
So who's tipping favour - Sturridge, Guidetti or Carroll?
-
He has a header like a Lichaj throw-in.
-
Has Carrolls' link with AC Milan gone? Was it nonsense?
Because I could see him moving to Italy and doing quite well.
I'd like Carroll to come to Villa. I think he's one of the best in that mode of Striker, young enough to improve on his weaknesses and would fill a type we don't currently have in the squad (A big target man not a boozer, we have plenty of them )
I don't think we have to sell Agbonlahor to bring him in, we need to add a forward not replace.

I thinking writing off Gardner at this stage in his career is particularly daft, he's got at least another two seasons to start to show what he's capable of.
I'd echo that.
-
Does anyone think we need a big quality target man? Or do you think tactics won't suit one?

One of the stand out things for me is that it states that vlaar's move is subject to a medical, and our medical team has been in the US with the first team, hence why it's on again.
A fantastic point and it very well could be the actual reason.
