Just spotted this article on twitter, it puts into words almost exactly how I feel watching us play. It's a shame it's on an obscure site rather than a mainstream one.
Optus Sport is the main broadcaster of the Premier League here in Australia, so it's not exactly obscure
But I can understand its not a major British or American outlet. -
This might've been spoken about earlier, but I think Gerard's comments after West Ham were telling.
He spoke about "not having imagination or creative spark" to unpick West Ham in the final third. Surely it's on him and his team to come up with an avenue to open up West Ham. It shouldn't be down to the "imagination" of the players to figure it out.
It also doesn't help to complain about not having a "creative spark" when you've got Buendia and Bailey sitting on the bench.
The man isn't a coach or a tactician.

Whoever the new manager is (hopefully sooner rather than later), they need backing to bring in their trusted coaching team.
I'm not sure who Poch had with him at Spurs and PSG, but it's imperative they're brought in as well to give the manager the best chance of succeeding.

Why was our goal disallowed? Couldn’t tell from the Holte.
The ball swung narrowly out of play before coming back in. It was tight but clearly the correct decision.

My gaming time has severely reduced over the past 6 months with work picking up. However, I did platinum Ghost of Tsushima and can agree that it's a brilliant game. Loved it!
Rather than picking up anything right now, I'm thinking of just waiting for God Of War Ragnarok.
I've had my eye on Horizon for awhile, but haven't played the first one, and from what I've read, you need to play the first to understand the story of the second?

This lad has been a brilliant signing so far. Great bit of business whoever pulled this off for free.

Particularly with Carney and Luiz's contact situations, he's not bad enough to toss aside and we may want the body Inthe squad anyway if we decided to sell one of those two or Nakamba or decided to loan out Iroegbunam
Agree with this. With the substitute situation increasing to 5 this coming season, Sanson could become an important player.

Stood in the cold with my kids waiting for the team to come out, will be mega disappointed if they don’t!
Apparently the team has a flight to catch in about an hour mate so your wait might be in vain unfortunately.

He's deceptively quick. A couple of times his sprints left the United player trailing.

Gerard was just interviewed on Aussie TV now. They're all jumping on the flight back in about an hour apparently. He also said that he knew things weren't working at half-time and was happy with the second half performance. He highlighted Buendia, Bailey and Luiz especially. Also said that if the season were to start tomorrow, Bailey would be in his starting 11.

Definitely agree it's a well written article though.
Particularly enjoyed this bit describing the current malaise:
The article is more interesting than our football!
