With Bent

40 games, 13 wins, 14 draws, 11 loses, 49 scored, 52 conceded, 53 points

Without Bent:

34 games, 6 wins, 13 draws, 15 loses, 35 scored, 59 conceded, 31 points

Incredible. Also incredible that there is a stat that shows we have won more games than lost in recent years.

Not really when Villa are the draw masters.... more draws in PL history than any other club.

I think we'd be better off selling him (Only if we got a decent amount for him) and using the money to buy 2 or 3 other players with.

I thought he was our 2nd best player yesterday after El Ahmadi.... we need more new players in that aren't affected by the depressing season we had last year as most our players still seem to be playing like they did at the end of last season.

Liverpool are currently winning, If that stays the same or they draw then we are bottom!

Last time we started with 2 losses we came 16th in the 2002/3 season.

If we don't sign at least 4 players in the next week we are going down without a doubt.

The only players good enough to start week in week out for us are (imho) Given, Vlaar, KEA, Bent

The rest of our squad are pretty much squad filler. Decent enough but not good enough to be considered week in week out players. We need to add at least 3 'starter' QUALITY players to the starting 11 just to be midtable to my eyes

Given and Bent were shite yesterday.... So I have to disagree with you there.

I thought KEA and Vlaar did well and Holman seemed to be the only player moving when he came on.

Had a shocker yesterday.... One good run and the rest he just ran into people or gave it away.

Thought he played well yesterday... only him and Vlaar (And briefly Holman whilst he was on)... the rest of the team were shocking.

Skimmed a few players throughout the game and looked promising.

I'd be well happy with a top 10 finish..... Realistically I think we will come around 15th.

I read somewhere that Sunderland have made an offer for him.... So don't get your hopes up too much!

Might as well start a thread entitled "Top 6", because us finishing top 6 is just as about as likely as being relegated, if not more so.

I think there is a very slim chance of us getting relegated but there is absolutely no chance, in our current state, of finishing in the top 6.

I think the chances are about equal.

I'd say relegation is more likely than top 6 but I don't think we will finish in either position.

I think he could do well with Bent.... He normally shoots from outside the box and sometimes they go in sometimes then keeper saves but then Bent could be on the end of that save for a nice little tap in.

Apparently Sunderland have made a £12m offer for Fletcher.... I see that as overpriced myself? Opinions?
