Just watched his interview (may have already been mentioned), he actually seems like a genuinely nice guy who's excited to be here. Looking forward to seeing him play!

People were saying previously that he wasn't learning English at Liverpool or something, what was he like in the interview, was it in English?

 

Yeah it was in English. Apparently he was nervous about doing the interview in English but did it anyway. There were a few times where he said something he wasn't quite sure on and sort of looked to his translator for assurance, but he still did well i thought.

Better English than Benteke when he first joined to be fair.

Definitely needs some game time - agree with sending him to a  championship side as long as he's a guaranteed starter. 

To be fair, I think i'd prefer Sanchez - I hope he can hack it in the prem if he agrees to join us!

'Disastrous' was too strong, as a disaster hasn't befallen us (at least not yet!). Nevertheless, they were poor investments. Successful signings don't leave after twelve months, especially if they were purchased as long-term projects. 

 

Fair enough, but I wouldn't have said Lambert had a completely poor window. Those 3 signings there at least have had a good impact on the squad (albeit Okore has been injured and might be too early to judge him. But Kozak and Bacuna are half decent players who contributed to some good things last season. 

Yes there were some poor signings as well i agree (Tonev, Helenius & Luna for sure), but you can't expect all of them to work out. 

Ben arfa has always demolished us when pkaying adainst us hed be decent but mega bad attitude.

I really do hope he stays at Villa for a while. It won't be a matter of time before he gets poached by a bigger team. You just have to hope his heart is with Villa. 

Did anyone else notice some miscommunication in the first half with our back line? 

It seemed that Hutton was leaving a bit too much space on the right, but was asking Senderos to come further out wide and for some reason, Stevens seemed to be trying to cover the right occasionally as well, which left nobody covering the left. It was all a bit confusing and i didn't really know what was going on? 

Weimann and Gabby looked poor again. Okore looked a tad shaky. Jacky boy looked awesome when he came on - a real talent. I didn't think Bent looked to bad either to be fair to him. 

Does anyone know what the attendance was? Looked at least 15,000 in there. 

Anyone know how he played? Any decent saves?
