    Sometimes I feel embarrassed to be a villa fan, we have a decent history and a poor future, at the moment I'd go for David O'Leary rather than Mcleish.

    He had 86 mins plus injury to get it right. We are shit at home because we are a counter-attacking team. McLeish can not get us playing any other way. We need a top manager in, which is the problem, because who would want to manage this **** titanic-esque club. Counter attacking team or not, we should still play well at home, under MON we were a counter attacking team, but still managed to play very well at home too. Everton and wolves at villa park soon? Cant see us winning either of those. We'll be well down the table again by Easter.

    Mcleish must go.. Not sure who I'd bring in but I think he has to be young and a British speaker with good enthusiasm to get us started again. Villa haven't been the same since MON abandoned us. Most people are running out of patience now, he's had his chance and done nothing with it.

    For me villa really need to win this one, we did well against Chelsea, but this games at home, we must take the game to them so starting with 2 strikers is important. I'd go with GK Guzan RB Cuellar CB Dunne CB Collins LB Warnock RM Nzogbia CM Clark CM Ireland LM Bannan CF Bent CF Gabby Subs: Marshall, Albrighton, Hutton, Gardner, Petrov, Delfouneso, Weimann. Bring on gardner after an hour regardless of how were playing, Albrighton on in last 10 after a deserved rest. Petrov to stay on bench and rest after the chelsea game.

    Maybe he's not as quick thinking yet, but he's still learning the trade, I think he's gonna be a brilliant midfielder, give him 2 more seasons and there wont be any debates.

    Fair point and well made, but I'll just say I'm not one to get down so easily, always looking for the positive, maybe sometimes overly so, but I don't mind being a positive person. ;P

    Why shouldn't we get excited, after all it was one of our academy players that came on and helped us beat Chelsea 1-3. If our fans didn't get excited we'd be nowhere, like the blue noses really.

    Love FM12, Far better than the others, but the only thing I don't like is steam, but not a lot i can do about that. Btw, has anyone got a decent guide for villa, or any recommendations? I'm currently in march 2013, won the league cup 2 years in a row, 1st season finished about 11th, but this season I'm currently joint 5th with Liverpool and doing well in Europe.

    Brilliant performance by him, its time like this that make me a proud villa fan, surely we've produced the most young English talent over the past few years? Anyway, I'm happy for him, great début performance, hope he keeps it up, better now than his brother has ever been.
