Said it in the week. There's a good chance they're in the bottom 3 by the end of Saturday.

The wall was unforgivable but most of our good breaks started with him.

We knew we would lose, but the goal difference is now at serious risk with that line up.
Feels like a panic for the sake of it.

Where's the Martinez news?
That's not good as it must be a late injury. That could be horrendous if it's long term.

I don't think it is an opportunity though. Being hammered and seeing f*** all of the ball will not be good for development or confidence.
They are basically lambs to the slaughter.
Playing first team football against top opposition is of course good for development.
And confidence? You've got Emery putting them in the starting line up. You don't think that builds confidence?

Do people think our players are just machines.
We need to rest some big players for more important games and we need to keep the back up players motivated.

A point would be nice but at least we can remain 4th no matter what after tomorrow.
Thanks west ham.

Did everyone else play the card game Shithead at school? I'm wondering what regional variations are out there? In name and rules.
Ace is high, 2's and 10's go on anything - 10's trashes the pack. 4 of a kind become the equivalent of a 10 and 9's are lower than a nine or another 9 or a 10) but can't be played on an ace.
We also had 5's let you play another card above a 5. And a red 3 can be played on anything and let you give the build up of cards in the middle to any player.

Said it in another thread but a good chance they're bottom 3 next weekend.
And then still have Huddersfield to play.
Plymouth at home to Rotherham, great chance for a win.
Huddersfield at home to Millwall the same.
They then still have to go to Huddersfield. It's far from over.

Could well be in the bottom 3 next weekend.
Plymouth at home v Rotherham and Huddersfield at home v Millwall.

I’m thinking the same now.
If you look at the deal on paper, where else are we going to sign a regular international for a top ten nation, 24 y/o and coming into his prime, who understands the way we play and is getting much better at influencing games, for 30m euros?
Im sure people will name similar players out there, but if we get Champions League we no longer have the games like Hibs or Mostar to blood these new players. They need to hit the ground running.
Absolutely this.
With champs league we need strength in depth.
We might sign another player who will need a year to settle. We've got that out the way with Zaniolo.

He's going to be a hell of a player.
-
Brilliant for the youth team.
Hope he eventually gets a chance.
-
United should be having a Chelsea level season.
I'm stunned they're in the race for champs league.
-
I don't know why he doesn't start more.
He was one of our best players early in the season.

Does not look the same bloke as last year.

New to the league, a ban hanging over him, recovering from major injuries and we've also never really played him in his preferred position.
I'd still like to think we could see him succeed here next year.

Can you really get annoyed but something that predictable?
Yes.

God that's annoying

We've had some must win/don't lose games and we've failed when it comes to it.
We need to get something today, a draw wouldn't be great though.
If England get the extra place do we have to play a qualifying game if we finish 5th or are we straight in?
-
How the **** are they still not in the bottom 3?

If it was put on the kit and they said "we've done this to celebrate the last and only England team to win anything by using the colours from an old training kit" or whatever, then I don't think anyone would have batted an eyelid.
I think the thing that has got everyone's backs up is the poorly worded "playful approach aimed to 'unite and inspire' the nation" some people find the suggestion that the standard England flag isn't "uniting and inspiring" offensive and then you have the other people who believe that there is an agenda behind everything and that there is some subliminal "pride" messaging going on.
I for one couldn't give a shite about it, I haven't bought an England shirt since 1998 and I haven't barely watched any England games in years so they could play in a kit with Barney the Dinosaur wearing a pink tutu on the sleeve and it wouldn't bother me, my interest in England pretty much stops at checking if any of our players might have got injured during a game (if they play)
It's literally been taken by racists.
If anyone is angry about that then they're idiots.

Mercedes could genuinely finish 5th

Are they?
They didn't seem like it against United and no chance they're like it against spurs of all teams.
