Disappointed with todays team selection. We really have to go for the jugular against teams like Hull. Counter attacking football tactics hands the initiative to Hull from the outset. If they go in front then we dont have the creativity to get back in the game IMO.

Disappointed that Grealish is not starting.
He is good enough AND old enough IMO.

I won't be too disappointed either. I'll be glad to get to Monday night/Tuesday morning with RV still with us. Lerner doesn't like swap deals as we saw with the Ireland/Milner deals.
Would settle for keeping hold of Ron & no-one coming in, right now.
Really? How contradictory some Villa fans are! Most spent last season asking why we didnt buy any experienced players. Now Randy as loosened the purse strings a little your saying that you wont be too disappointed not to bring in an experienced PL player that would certainly improve our team!

Cleverley would certainly improve our team IMO. I dont think the 7/8 mil fee is correct. I would guess that its closer to 5 mil. At that price he would be a bargain given his PL experience. The signing of Cleverley and a wide player would see us sitting comfortably mid table in my opinion. Moreover, the bench would look stronger than it has been for years. Slow progress, yes, but welcome progress after 3 worrying, relegation battled years.

Agree 100%8 million could be used to put in a bid for Milner as he's only got a year left on his contract?
Seconded
-
Well desrerved Fab. That will increase his wage demands though IMO.
Dont understand why Fab, Vlaar and Grealish have not been been offered new contracts yet.We just love shooting ourselves in the foot!

Think Grealish needs to start against Hull

Jack must start against Hull on Sunday IMO

Link to Dan Druff from Ayr......checked him out on wiki. He seems half decent. His manager reckons he's head and shoulders above the rest of his squad.
Worth a punt?
-
400K? We paid around £2m for him. He's worth £1m at least IMO.
Agreed, ar least £1m. We need every penny we can get!

I thought Gardner would get some game time this season. Would have liked to have seen him play in the League Cup against Orient. I hope he gets plenty of game time until January. He has then got to prove that he is capable of playing in the Pl. Good luck Gary.

are we signing Andy Cole?
Yes! He is less injury prone than Joe

Delph?,,,,no chance

Linked to Bolton's ex Liverpool player Jay Spearing in The Sun today

Linked with Zlatko Junuzovic on a website link! Weimann has recommended him
http://www.eyefootball.com/news/20439/Aston-Villa-chase-Austrian-midfielder-Zlatko-Junuzovic.html
Aston Villa have set to make a bid for Austrian international midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic. The versatile attacker, who is comfortable playing on the wings or alone up front, has been recommended by Villa star Andreas Weimann.
Junuzovic, who has struggled to reproduce the form shown in his homeland at Austria Vienna at current club Werder Bremen, has been told he is free to leave the Bundesliga club for a fee of around 3.85 million euros.
Junuzovic has 32 caps for his country and the 26-year-old is desperate to make a move to the Premier League. Villa manager Paul Lambert is set to spend the entire remainder of his transfer budget to bring in the forward before the 2014/15 summer transfer window comes to a close on August 31st.
Correction...Transfer window closes 11pm 1 Sep!

I dont think we have the necessary supply line to accommodate Bent. I also feel that he is not a team player. He's a bit of a passenger and his work rate is very poor. In short, we cant afford to carry a passenger in the team. I think he would have been sold in this window if Benteke and Kozak were fit.

Cissokho is fast, strong and has desire...I really like this player.
Hope it's not a serious injury as it looked a bad one?
Fully agree. Excellent first two games. Would be concerning to lose him because of injury so early in the season.

Glad you had a good day pal, it's easy to take it for granted when you live locally! After my long trip from Sweden I finally got here! I was looking forward to my first visit at the Holte End and boy was it great!
Have to be one of the greatest days in my life! Singing all the Villa songs, calling the referee a wan*** and just enjoying the atmosphere! As if that wasn't enough, managed to fill my autograph book with every players autograph (besides Zog who raced out from the parking) and get to meat Fabian Delph, my favorite player! Thank you Aston Villa and every player for this great experience, till next time!

Get Tekkers and Kozak back and add some 'proper creativity' and we will be 3 or 4 places higher this season IMO

Great passing, team move for Weimann's goal. More of the same in the second half please!
