To be honest, I don't think his heart is in it and I don't feel he has the appetite to go to Rotherham on a wet Tuesday night (apologies for the cliché)

He's appears to suffer from niggly injuries and never quite match fit - sadly, there have been many players who are like this and some of it must be down to personal desire to play.

I'd love him to be as good as he's made out to be on here but I fear he's a bit of dud (maybe that's a bit harsh but I just don't think we'll ever see the 'youtube' version of Traore whilst he's with us)

If we can cash in and get a winger in that stays fit and wants to give it a good go then I'd be all for it.

Have to agree with most of that (unfortunately)! Would love to see him play 15-20 consecutive games but I am starting think that will never happen in the championship!  Havent seen him linked with a move yet though....you never know, he may yet come good.

Certainly shows we have a bucket full to offload still

Totally agree with SNE, 4,7,9,11,16 & 24 are priorities.

(Expecting at least Richards, Sinclair, Gabby and Lescott (along with Kozak and Traore) to go before September 1st, however reckon Bacuna will stick around and try and convince us he meant a Championship team, not a Champions League team!)

You really want Traore to go?

He definitely had a medical because SSN showed him driving into Villa Park. I have no doubt this is pretty much done.

Staying late to get some tips from Gabby?

IF Scoremack signs I cannot wait to watch a match and actually believe that we should score. That feeling evaporated when Benteke left.

Even with Gabby in the lineup? Oh ye of little faith!

  5. would be happy with McCormack.  If Clark goes as well as Gueye then we will have  whole new spine in the team whilst spending next to nothing....very clever IMO.  Leaves plenty in the kitty for more signings!

i am liking this strategy. Seems RDM as noted to failures of previous managers in the transfer market!

So Holloway is 'proper genuine dickhead' because you think he talks crap?  So its perfectly ok for our chairman to talk crap? Can you not see the irony?

Furthermore, its not ok to say something just because it may be correct.

Yes it is!  Its BOTH correct and honest!......why is that a problem to you?

You are right. But I was saying if you call someone a dickhead, then change your mind because that same dickhead goes and invests in your team and gets you success, you aint gonna be calling them a dickhead any longer. Moral of the story, only call someone a dickhead if they are actually a proper, genuine dickhead - like farkin Holloway.

    Correct!

Totally embarrassing way for an owner of any business, never mind a football club, to behave.

Holloway gets paid to watch the championship and give his opinion. If you don't like it, so be it. There really is no need to attack the man for stating his opinion.

That said, he is a bit of a tit. Nothing to do with his assessment, which I can't really disagree with at this stage. He just is a bit of a tit, really. Fortunately, this is a football forum and I'm not the public face of Aston Villa... yet ;)

Why is this 'totally embarrasing'?  Hollway expressed his opinion, Dr Tone replied......the world does actually work this way!

and please no BS about 'he shouldnt say it because he is our owner'  Mr Lerner was polite and personable.....what did that achieve?

Actually, to be FAIR, there is no excuse for being a prick. If you told someone to **** off in the street you'd end up with a smack in the mouth most likely.

So lets swear at him? That'll make the signings happen. Damn, I bet tomorrow we'll have 3 new players in because someone told him to do so on Twitter.

So what as that got to do with my comment?  Where do I say that I condone his tweet?   Suggest you try reading my post again!  Do you make alot of things up in your head? Are you a secret 'red top' journalist?

Hernandes scored goals last season but never looked that good (when I watched Hull). I'd be happy that we're not in for him.

If he scores goals, then he is good!.......you cant actually win a game without scoring!

Palace lost 3-1 to Fulham today after going unbeaten in all other preseason fixtures. Preseason matters very little.

I agree that pre season results dont matter that much, but performances, effort, desire and passion DO....sadly, we lacked all those this afternoon!

And again it's Di Matteo (according to Xia) that has said the good players have had the wrong management. Xia's just putting his faith in the football professionals, that he's hired.

Probably means we dont need to spend too much!   Where have we seen that before?  Beginning to move towards the sceptical side.

Well, he's ill but he still had long chat with RDM, I guess? It's not great English but I think it's faily understandable.
