As much as im curious as to how a gh season would pan out now he could possibly have a pre season i cant help thinking if our manager cant even travel overseas for a pre season tour surely hes not fit for the rigours of a premier league season?

On one phone in I heard last night the bloke who reports for the News of the World suggested there would be "agitation" around Bent this summer if Villa didn't look to invest in better players and those players they did have left This is what i mean if were showing no ambition and offloading every good player we have why would he want to stay? Especially if clubs like city who sign 4 strikers a year who dont get enough goals combined to beat bents tally. Maybe im being a bit doom and gloom but at this rate im not looking forward to our new season.

Seen a lot of these posts and i have to say some people are over-reacting big time, great player and i dont want him to leave but if we could get 18/20m for him that would be an awesome fee to bring a new winger in. I just worry about our other players really? What happens if darren bent scores 20 next year theres no way he'll stay at villa either if one of the big 4 come knocking. Unless of course were up there challenging with them which realistically just isnt going to happen anytime soon.

Look if hes asked midway through the season hes obviously going to say good things about the club because hes got to play there for the few months ahead of him, as soon as the window comes and hes nowhere near the club he suddenly has a change of heart? I'm disappointed to say the least purely because he filled us all with hope that he was staying and now to go back on it, sigh.

^ Thats what i was thinking, why tanzania? They didnt sack mcleish because it would have cost them around 2m and they have cancelled their tour i would imagine because of costs! LOL!

Nothing like a good run that feeling of fitness and the great outdoors is a great one, saying that i havent ran since when i was training for the army. I stay away from running at the moment as im actually trying to put on weight.

Not sure if this has been posted on the few previous pages but kendrick seems to think lerner is expected to "rubber stamp" houlliers avfc return next week. Not sure how reliable or where hes getting this from. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing but aslong as we get a full pre season in with the right areas improved i cant say ill be too bothered.
