  1. The general was in the lower holte today and the infront of me asked if we are getting a new manager and he said yes. He seemed very open about it.

Is this genuine or just stiring?

Rafa Benitez is @ 1/6 at skybet. That's uncomfortably short

Villa will announce this coming week the departure of hou following in with benitez to replace him, after all thats what happened at the pool, houllier would be familiar with the transition and may have even suggested it?

I would imagine if thats true we can expect a statement pretty much imminently then?

    I doubt this myself

  3. what a result, credit to everyone at villa, especially the players on the pitch and gmac.

on a side note, i think brum are doomed, they play tottenham who will be desperate to win to stay in europe and blackpool may get a draw at utd cos they have nothing to do

an ideal ending to a troublesome season

  4. Hi General,

I know its a bit early to speculate the future of Gerard but if he where to resign would there be a place for him at the club?

Perhaps a future director of football, in my eyes this man has been crucial in changing the club and im sure me and alot of villa fans would love to see him on the board if only for his transfer power alone!!

  5. Ireland came at the wrong time, I say sit him down and ask him if he wants a shot at playing for the club, if he does then lets see if someone can get the best out of him, I dont think GH can handle his personality, but then GH may not be our manager next year now

  6. I know that deep down, you agree with me.

I know that deep down if Mourinho and Fat Sam got offered the england job you would love for Mourinho to have it.

    The Villa job - yes.

    The England job - no.

to say u are narrow minded is the understatement of the century, I dont care who gets the england job, I think itl be harry redknapp personally but that role kinda takes care of itself.

I wouldnt object to a foreign manager at the club, but id sure as hell prefer a manager with a proven prem track record, moyes or coyle for me.

  7. A good result against a reasonable everton side today, ive always seen them as our equals in the premier league anyway, so anyone who thinks we should be breezing past them is living in cloud 9.

ok so maybe 3 points thrown away with a bad penalty decision but that happens in footy and we showed enough fight today to roll on.

Oh and il prob b the first but well done houllier for picking the right team.

  8. Looking on the ticketing system on the official website, there is very limited availability in L4 and L5 for 2 seats together unless you want to be quite near the front. If i was you, i'd go for L3 and something around row P. :)

when you say row P i take it the front row is A, kinda obvious but I know these things work cack handed some times

  9. Im taking the mrs to the her first game at villa part vs newcastle, now ive never sat in the lower hole but I have the upper, my question is, how many rows back from the front do you need to be for a decent view in l4 or l5?

Is 9 rows back any good?

Dunno mate ive never been to Villa Part so I couldnt say but if you were going to Villa Park I reckon 9 rows back should be ok :)

yeah my only concern is now having to look through the net of the goal really, so I was trying to gauge at what rowe back u can start to see over the goal mouth, I guess the other option is go left or right of the goal itself.

comeon u season ticket guys, help me out

  11. I cant see Moyes leaving them for one and they wouldnt let him go either.

I can see Moyes leaving this summer. I can also see Everton letting him go for the right compensation. As much as he's done at Goodison, there's a kind of feeling in the air that maybe its time for both to part ways. Moyes probably has ambitions of his own that he won't be able to fulfil at Everton due to the ever tighter budget there. Everton may also feel its time for a fresh face and fresh ideas

Would you be happy with Moyes?

I would, he's a motivator, everyone wants to see what he can do with a proper budget! Oh and atleast he doesn't bullshit like a certain someone, if his team plays crap he admits it, that's real management.
