No i understand your opinion Jim, and its fair, but IMO its just as important to bring in more quality in the midfield. I agree a new striker is essential, but cant see how any striker we buy, will do miracles without new quality blod in the midfield. But having more bodies upfront is important. We have really been miserable without Daz this season, and the lack of bodies has reflected upon our resaults. Its exciting having DOL looking at new strikers, but cant understand how anyone will be better then JPA & Daz. They are quality and thats a fact. If we sign up Luke, get some improved midfield options, purchase a body upfront to cover for JPA, then our next season will be much brighter. Cant see us having so much injury problems again. (Knock on wood?) Anyway, Luke have learned a lot this season methinks, and having him to cover for Daz could be a good idea.

So you dont think the lack of service from the midfield has had something to say about our striker's poor goal record??

If you are talking about a strikers duty... then its open goals (nicked from Lancs ) you should be looking at. Cant say it matters if JPA doesnt take penalties or free kicks, that hasnt got shit to say about his quality as a striker.

If we had Barry as penalty taker every match this season, would you be saying the same? For instance if a striker get's 20 league goals and 10 of them on penaltie's. JPA get's 10 goals in the league and takes no penaltie's. Would JPA be less quality?

Thats true, though rest of your post is just funny How quick people forget. JPA is carrying a lot of pressure, and responsibility. With a bigger squad, we could have rested him sometimes and not pushed him into action after his injury. Calling JPA an average squad player, now thats just moronic.

Ive never said Johnsen was a brilliant player (10 out of 20 goals are penalties). Ive never said he was Henry-class. Though i believe JPA would be excellent at Arsenal. I dont talk shit. The crosses you are refering to, are bollox. We might hit a lot of crosses, but thats our style of play. And even if the crosses are accurate, JPA will have to manage without midfield support beating a whole defence....
