Yes hes far from perfect and definately has faults but given our current squad hes a definate starter . To suggest otherwise is stupid.

Yes Parker would be a good signing but s it stands hes not a Villa player and is incredibly unlikley he will be given drastic austerity measures this summer

I have to say I have'nt seen a quality second half from Petrov for a long time. Please "try" and correct me if im wrong!

Ive always thought we had quite a quick attacking side. Petrov for me slows it all down. Great leader and give us great service over the seasons, but he is finished for me and should not really be playing much anymore.

I think because he is one of the main players, its hard for managers and the board to either to stop him playing or move him on, If a player cannot play a full game due to fitness, he should'nt be playing anymore never mind be captain.

I'm delighted we have sign N'Zog and I think he will be excellent but does anyone get the impression that the club and especially the OS are hyping it up like we have signed a world class superstar?

I agree it seems the OS think he is gonna be the saviour of our season. The Zog can be quality, I like him, but I dont think he will not have the impact of a top class signing.

Makoun and Petrov are 2 fantastic players on the ball, both move it about and will feed the wide and creative players around them. Its DM that worries me as im not sure Hogg or Herd are good enough as the back up(would rather Fofana).. And Delph is wasted as a DM, he is far better in the final 3rd like his days at Leeds.

I cannot understand why the club simply cant say to Downing and other clubs he is not for sale. Tottenham have done it with Modric. If he stays and dos'nt perform, he dont get played. Liverpool think they can get Downing for around 12-15 mil. We had better stick with 20+ if we have to sell.
