Yep Pickford is solid only seen him make a mistake once for England and that was in the last game.

Absolutely fantastic news, they had really turned a corner and was quite concerned about them next season. Unless they pull out a masterstroke of an appointment they have shit themselves in the foot big time here.
Todd Boehly is a genius.

I don't think he'll make the final squad. Gomez will take the spot as he plays for Liverpool.
I'm ok with Konsa getting a rest and well deserved.
Watkins will be in the squad but Southgate will take Toney too so he can pick him over Watkins and not have to take the brunt of the criticism of overlooking Watkins.
I think if Shaw doesn't recover Gomez will become LB cover and Konsa RB. If Shaw is ok agrees he will get cut.
-
Oh wow Ezri did make it. I'm going to assume as a right back.
Trippier and Shaw as left backs.
Walker, Konsa and Gomez as right backs with TAA in midfield.
I think Ezri might get cut though and he will pick Gomez. Unless Shaw isn't deemed fit enough as Gomez becomes left back cover.

Lewis Dunk and Qansah instead of Guehi or Konsa is off. Dunk was terrible in the last round of friendlies, and missing games since.
Toney over Solanke is strange too. Toney has been mediocre for half a season vs. 19 goal Solanke for Bournemouth.
I'd have taken Reece James too. Versatile and a quality player on his day.
Guehi is in at least.

Dunk was terrible in those March games. Konsa did o.k and can cover RB so little logic for that.
Yeah I've rarely seen a defender keep Vinicius so quiet as well, yet his reward seems to be no place.

Lewis Dunk also in, yep Konsa gonna miss it. Gutted for him, hope he declares for Portugal now.
He's struggled at right back at times but he's one of the most consistent centre backs in the league.

Apparently Quansah also called up. Can see Konsa missing out sadly.

Wharton and Eze in provisional with Branthwaite and Curtis Jones.
No Henderson, Chilwell or Sterling. That's good.
-
I don't mind too much if Maguire is in, even if he's crap and plays crap for England at times he's at least played games and performed on the odd occasion. I'd not pick him but there is some sense.
Players who shouldn't be anywhere near though are Rashford, Henderson, Phillips and Mount.
We have so many players on the top of their games at the moment in positions they play in as well.
-
Although I'm for the deal.
One concern would be Barkley thrives playing regularly. He won't come here and be a starter unless we had an injury crisis. Although I'd hope the busy schedule with the extra UCL games would help there.

Very questionable bringing him back but tbf Emery did wonders for Tielemans.
You'd think one year deal heavily incentive based if so, because lads like Ross always seem to turn on when they have to fight for a new deal and then when they get a bit of stability it's gone.
First opinion I came to check. Fair play though man I know you're not his biggest fan but as you say in Emery we trust.

Bump. One of the inform midfielders in the league recently. Fan favourite at Luton this season. Pleased for him, never felt it was lack of application or ability, just confidence. He wasn't a total waste of space like some players we've had.

He was a talented youngster but like Dele Alli you don't know what goes on in players lives and how difficult it is to stay top of the game. Luton could do far worse even if this is considered to most as scraping the barrel.
Two of my previous thoughts. Again on a free transfer and as a squad player he'd been a sensible signing. If of course the wages are sensible too.

I’m staggered that some on here are ok with this? Yes, we’ve had a brilliant season, yes we’re qualified for the Champions League but this is a humiliating defeat. An absolute mauling. Not good enough and the starting eleven should have been better today. Could be 10-0 FFS.
It's really not that humiliating unless you let it. We've had our greatest season in years. We remember this not a final game of the season.

Shit day, but a shit day than a shit season for me.
We will quickly get over it.

I've had it with this season for now. Villa don't care, why should I. See you in September.
Bye bye please enjoy your summer and look forward to you supporting our fantastic team.

Don't think we've been that bad. Mateta is clinical atm.
Would like to see Kesler and Konsa moved into the middle.
Diaby has shown some promise, I have high hopes for him next season.

Crawley Town conceded a penalty today in the playoff final when their goalkeeper made an excellent tackle that was deemed a foul. Thankfully for them VAR overturned it. They were 1-0 up at the time and went on to win 2-0.
VAR showing its use again.

He always plays well against us, so a bit surprising that some don't rate him. English tax though and don't see us prioritising a player at his cost.
-
This is truly a pathetic playoff performance. I don't think Leeds are even that good...

Anyone thinking that Jonathan Rowe being a better player than Summerville is a laughable suggestion is really showing their ignorance, and probably never seen either play and just going by 'stats'. Should also be pointed out a player having good stats in the Championship doesn't always translate to being any good at Premier League level
Given the high nose nature of this post I must point out Rowe is having a stinker of a performance.
Just topped it off with a dive.
Not saying he's a bad player due to one game although he's never impressed me but yeah...

I've seen Jonathan Rowe suggested on here. He's having a shocker, he's not 100% fit but at same time in previous games I've seen he hasn't shown much either. Would be surprised if we are interested.
Now he gets a yellow card for diving when if he stayed up he'd have been through on goal. Poor.

Love re seeing that. Don't think I've ever been more confident in a player to perform than Big Ben in that season. You just knew every game he'd work something out of nowhere.

Indeed a beauty. One of the best places I've been to in Europe. Would be brilliant for them to win especially after what the city suffered with COVID.
