  1. Geeze, you wouldn't even notice (from that pic) that you were losing your hair. Your mate in the middle looks in more need of it to be honest.

Maybe it's just a good pic, but I'd say you have a while yet before you have to shave it.

Not that you shouldn't shave it anyway if you want to, but just saying you probably don't need to. Maybe you're just a bit paranoid about it?

It is a pretty flattering pic to be fair. The sides are brushed forward so far. The main issue is the island at the front which is separated from behind.

Yeah sure I am a bit paranoid about it. But the cold hard facts are it is there.

  2. I think we need some pictures of the aforementioned haircut/restyling.

Ok, clippers haven't arrived yet. Hopefully here today or tomorrow.

Anyway this pic is only a couple of months old I am on the right.

  3. Random thought of the day.

1 sheep on its own is called a sheep. 20 sheep in a group are stilled sheep...not sheeps.

Is there any other example of this in the animal kingdom? Im struggling to think of any.

    Clunge?

    EDIT.... Word filtered!

    Cl*nge?

  4. Agreed. The kid sounds like a deadbeat.

However I don't think from reading what your account that you had the man power, time or infrastructure to take on a Work Experience kid either. So maybe not the best idea in the first instance.

  5. Sounds promising in todays Brum Mail:

Aston Villa: Expect more signings - Paul Lambert

“Yes, the phone’s been going mad, all the time,” said Lambert.

    “It’s a bit of a pain but I just don’t answer it!

What's the bet this one gets brought up ad nausaeum when the natives start getting restless when there's been no signings 3 days into a transfer window...

That quote reminded me of MON a bit. I am sure I had read somewhere that he never picked up calls from agents.

I don't see it as a bad thing as I would like to think that we are being pro-active in going after the individuals (and speaking to their agents) we want and think will improve us. Rather than waiting for touting agents to offer us players.

  6. Sounds promising in todays Brum Mail:

Aston Villa: Expect more signings - Paul Lambert

PAUL Lambert has pledged there will be more transfers at Villa in the next few weeks because the claret and blue squad he has inherited “need a hand” from fresh faces.

Brett Holman, Karim El Ahmadi and Matthew Lowton have already been recruited and there are expected to be a host of other comings and goings throughout the transfer window.

Ideally, Lambert wants to have all his summer business completed by the time Villa kick off the Premier League season at West Ham on Saturday, August 18.

But the new manager is prepared to go right to the deadline at the end of August providing he can bring in the right players to help introduce his philosophy at the club.

“In an ideal world, you’d like to get everyone in right from the off but that’s an impossibility,” said Lambert.

“I am pretty sure it will go a long way this month but we will definitely try and get people in to give them a hand.

“The group certainly needs a hand to enhance it, that’s for sure. It’s like anything, people come and people go at a football club and that’s the nature of the game.

“That’s every club you go to in the world, not just Britain, but the group will need a hand.”

Since accepting the Villa job at the start of June, Lambert’s phone has been ringing almost constantly with various agents trying to interest him in their players.

The only pleasure he derives from the “frustrating” process of wheeling and dealing is finally landing players motivated by ambition more than financial gain.

“Yes, the phone’s been going mad, all the time,” said Lambert.

    “It’s a bit of a pain but I just don’t answer it!

“You get people on to you all the time and then you find out they want ridiculous money before they’ll even want to talk to you, but that’s the nature of the game.

“I don’t think you get enjoyment from that part of the game, I think you get frustrated because you think something’s going to get done and then it doesn’t and then it’s back on again and then it isn’t.

“It can go like that, and that’s when it gets frustrating. Or people are being greedy.

“I don’t want people thinking money rules their head really and just want to come for money and all that.

“I just want people who want to play for this club. I’ll only take people because they want to do well and be successful.

“I think that’s got to come from within the players. they’ve got to be motivated by playing the game. Everything else should come secondary.

“If you get success then the other rewards will come after that anyway.”

  7. After a long week of contemplation, I have finally come to terms with the fact that my hair line is massively receeding and I have got a 'Steve McDonald' which may well lead to a 'Yordan Letchkov'in the future.

Therefore I am considering in investing in some clippers to whip it off. Has anyone else gone through similar?

What Grade should I use? Has it affected how people treat you?

Have a barber use a #2 clipper, once a month, sorted. Self-clipping sounds easier than it actually is.

Nowhere near as cheap though. I've saved a fortune since I bought the clippers.

Save a fortune, plus it's quicker (no need to go traipsing off to the barber). Self clipping, once you get to grips with it, is a piece of piss. I do the areas round the back that you can't see based on touch/feel, but you can easily use a mirror or get your GF, if you have one, to assist.

    Thats what I thought.

Couldn't get the GF to do it. She has 2 wonky eyes and clubs for hands!

  8. I'm going to fall out with a number of posters over this issue, zero loyalty and short term memory. Dont **** expect any back from players then and ball about how players owe us anything. most of these players dont owe certain fans shite based on this evidence.

    I never preached about loyalty.

My personal issue is that I don't believe he is good enough. I don't want sub-standard players who aren't consistent. I want a competitive team. Look at his stats in seasons after December/January. Every season they are poor.

  9. I'd advise a 2

Short enough to be no hassle and to disguise it as best as possible (although once you're gone you're gone, there's no hiding it).

But not too short to look like a total thug or completely bald.

Yup stuck between a 2 or 3 but I can get sticky up hair.

Also wear dark glasses so that should distract from the hair/balding.

  10. If the hair is going missing, black seed oil is your friend.

Will it slow it, or regenerate the hair and regrow the 'island'?

It strengthens the hair follicles. And will slow down the balding process dramatically. But it depends 'how far gone' you are with regards to your balding/receeding. They have been using it for years in arab and asian countries.

Bad news though, it is quite hard to get hold of and a bit expensive. But do some research on the net and your local health store might be able to order it in.

Cheers Voinjama but I am a bit too far gone.

Coming round to the idea. I am now 30 so it is a new image and I look old enough not to look a thug.

Just need to experiment how short to go!!!

  11. My plan is to cut it short again (not shaved, but close) and get a tan.

This is why I need to do it this week. I got a tan in France so I will need do it before I leave to Barcelona on friday so that I can let my head catch up over the weekend.

  12. I can offer some useful advice to the newbie head shaver, and it is this:

After using clippers on your napper, be sure to soap your entire body, paying attention to the small of your back and anywhere else that fine hair clippings can collect.

Failure to do so will result in prolongued scrotal itching. You have been warned.

    Noted! :thumb:

  13. **** that clippers shit, let it all grow out, comb it back, mullet

Speaking as a non-shaved-headed-person, I regard shaded-headed-people with suspicion. I would go as far as saying that if I saw one on the same side of the road as I was walking, I would cross the road, so as to avoid the risk of being mugged/raped/murdered/etc

I object to that statement in the strongest possible terms. I am a bald yet handsome man who uses Wahl Baldfader clippers, and I have never mugged or raped anyone.
