He doesn't close the initial ball over the top, gets himself in a pickle and shouldn't allow the cross. Digne's at LWB, the goal of marking falls on the CBs there. He's too advanced to get back anyways. There's a lot of errors individually across the park, including Cash giving the ball away in the build up creating the space for the ball over the top to begin with. On a different day, Pau blocks the cross.
He never does. That's why he himself doesn't look bad. He just gives so much room to the attacker to exploit which makes our other players look bad. Then he flaps his hands to no end when we're scored on again.

Can’t agree with this at all.
He’s not a RB, it’s that simple. He’s been mostly excellent this season at CB.
Not many will agree. If they did, he wouldn't be most overrated.

Most overrated player on VT. But we're fans, so that's ok.
Hopefully Mings comes back as good as he was.

His numbers are better than his performances.
Can only be better next season, right? Right?

Even if this has been a wonderful season as a whole, this miserable ending form is putting a damper on it for me. Last season was more enjoyable.
And no, we won't get any more points, but we'll make CL since Spurs will only get six points more.

Quite disappointed. Emi didn't save all the shots like I've been told on VT that he does.

I'm actually embarrassed at how poor we've been over the 2 legs.
Big changes needed if we have any plans to do anything in Europe next season
If we get to CL the games won't last long, so that's good.

Could we get ElKaabi? Or is he only good against us?
-
Do all those who drop on the first round of CL continue in Europa League?

Diaby just stinks every time.

Our players seem to have given up a bit.

I do like the leadership Bailey has brought into the team lately. First against Lille and again today he is carrying us. I like it.

I actually think the ref has been decent on the whole.
As usual. But every teams' fans think there's a conspiracy against them

Oh **** off diaby. Hit the **** thing on the edge of the area on his left food and decides to pass it
He has no brains. Or is scared. Don't know which.

We're so poor in offensive set pieces too.

Seeing many mentions for Konsa in top 3 and I have to wonder why.

If our energy levels are high, I'm fully expecting us to win this tie.

I just think that "bad" would be decreased if we could hear the logic at the time.
Fans just left guessing because they can't hear anything makes everything worse. People make up mental scenarios to explain why VAR has done what it's done.
If you could hear the discussion you could at least understand the logic even if you completely disagree with it
I see what you mean and I like transparency in general. I'm sure everything in VaR is made with good intentions. Reality just seems different.

I think it's more important for fans to hear the conversation the ref is having with the VAR.
Not necessarily in the stadium, but certainly for fans on TV.
I've said this before, it would take away SOME of the controversy because you would at least be able to hear the logic the officials are using.
They'd absolutely need to work on the communication and the language used by the officials, because at the moment it's **** chaos. But I think it would benefit the fans
I'm not so sure about the openness issue any more. The reason is that the discussion on social media is dominated by the extremes. Reasonable fans are majority, but silent. Everyone is looking for the bad, not the good.

Most of the media online or on youtube are saying that Spurs are just seeing the season out as they have nothing to play for??
They need to be at their best to retain 5th.

I don't think Emery will "send the kids", but I do think there's a chance he rotates heavily.
We'll still be trying to win the game, but I think it's very possible that after losing the first leg, and the results against Brighton, that Emery will want to make absolute certain of Champions League qualification and rest players to help that. The central midfield especially.
I don't like it, and I'd be disappointed if we don't go for this, but it's certainly a scenario I can see happening
I suppose it's possible, but sincerely hope not. This is not a time to rotate. Just a couple games left.
The only acceptable reason to rotate would be if Unai thought we needed more energy to win the game, like @PaulC said.

I'd like to commend him somehow on the social media, but don't know how. Any hints?

Good player, good character, BUT... could we actually be better without him?
If we need to collect money in the summer, we've found our man.
