So that’s your assessment after 15 minutes of play?
No its based on his performances and demeanor all season.
-
He didn’t have an all around great game but he took his goals beautifully.

He’s so bad and his attitude is terrible. I would send him back early if we didn’t have such a small squad.

The positioning for the goal was brilliant. Gave Bailey a target for a tap in and both delivered.
-
He's brilliant. The only criticism is he tails off a little in games. In the final quarter especially, he looks leggy.
-
I think he's our most important player. Just marshalls the midfield, tireless, rarely makes the wrong choice. A top player.

Credit where credits due, had a good game. Lovely pass to the wing for the 3rd goal.

Fantastic first half performance, as good as we've been this season. Conceded a sloppy goal on HT and at 3-2 was looking precarious. Had we not won this game from 3-0 then I dread to think how we would get over it.
Thankfully we scored at a good time and were coasting for the remainder of the match. Very good solid win.

Here’s what’s going to happen in those two weeks:
Luton Away
Ajax away
spurs home
Ajax home
west ham away
Thats a brutal run and we are not at full strength. Hopefully we win every game, but we all know that we won’t.
What's brutal about that? Luton are shite. Ajax are mediocre at best. Spurs home should be a game we would be confident to win or why even bother and West Ham are one of the worst sides in the league on current form.

I'm just giving credit where it's due.
I just found it strange you gave a random history lesson of stuff everyone knows about one of the most famous clubs in the world.

Last time I did something like that, I ended up with a yellow card.
For the record, they didn't invent total football and there is no mystery as to why Netherlands haven't won a World Cup. They haven't won one because they haven't won a final.

Ajax Thursday....Spurs Sunday........................................Its almost like we didnt play Man City on the Wednesday night and beat them and followed it up on the Saturday beating Arsenal
Ajax an hour on a plane, much better than going to Molde for example
Absolutely this. The amount of bedwetting in this thread is embarrassing. Oh no we play 3 games in a week. Just like at points of every single season. How will the squad survive this impossible schedule.
We went out of both cups early. This is European football, we all wanted it. The CL is no different, if we ever get there. **** man up and get used to it.

I've always retained a healthy respect for Ajax ever since that great side of the seventies with those wonderful names, Johnny Rep, Neeskens, and arguably the most elegant player to play the game, Johan Cruyff, who I had the privilege to watch in the flesh at VP when we played Barcelona in the UEFA Cup.
They are also famous for their wonderful youth system, having produced, Rijkarrd, Van Basten, Davids, and, imo, the best players to grace the Premier League, Dennis Bergkamp. So many others, it's remarkable, the amount of talent they have produced.
Also, the team that invented the concept of "total football". It's a mystery how the Dutch have never won a World Cup, the team that won the European Championship back in 88 were magnificent, the Van Basten goal against Russia, definitely top 5 of all time.
This is a great tie for us and not for one minute do I think it will be easy. Their experience of European football will certainly provide them with an edge.
You could have saved yourself the trouble and just posted a link to their Wikipedia article.

Finally a team I’ve heard of. Bring it on
If you've never heard of Hibernian, Legia Warsaw and AZ then that says a lot more about you than anything else.

I dont want easy ties, i want fun games that i can get excited about.
I think most of us want a trophy rather than "fun games".

We can absolutely beat them.
Really? Are you sure? Can the 4th best team in the Premier League beat a side currently 5th in the Dutch league?
I don't know about that. I think you're being a bit too optimistic there.

Sick of getting hard draws in whatever cups are in
It's not a hard draw. We are comfortably the best team in this competition and can have no excuses whatsoever if we don't win it.

This is the Zaniolo thread. I made a comment about him. I've made positive posts about every other player I've commented on. Is that acceptable to you?
