  1. Heres an anagram of who I want:-

    Gib Mas

be back in 45 minutes to see if you have cracked it...

    Ummmmmmm

It's clearly the mastermind world cup winning manager that is Gib Mas!

  2.

I think it was part you said you would prefer Harewood to Ronaldo that lost some people ;)

Well in the context of my post it made sense...to me at least! Although off topic but I kind of miss Harewood, it was always funny watching him bundle around the pitch, you could generally see what he was trying to do he could just never pull it off, reminded me of myself when my Sunday league team gave me a go up front once (normally in goal)

do you like mushrooms?....i think maybe you have been buying the wrong sort.

Judging by his username, he's buying the right kind.

    420 weedman!

  3. Anyone remember this?

    GIF_20140211_213548.gif

It's brilliant, your woman is going balubas and the kid beside her can't believe his eyes. Then there's Hulk Hogan getting a migrane from thinking how on earth Gabby missed that shot (anyone got a gif?) and your man with his eyes coming out his head.

  4. Neil Warnock till the end of season anyone? Currently unemployed and he's experienced enough, both in terms of time in management and sheer number of teams managed, to step in and organise the team without a significant bedding in period. And unlike the other 'experienced' names floating about (Hoddle, Curbishly etc.), he's actually managed in the premier league recently. Because lets be honest, no manager with any prospects is going to accept this job before the end of the season. Make it clear he's not a long term appointment but chuck in a massive cash incentive for avoiding the drop and I don't doubt he would come.

    Notts County - relegated

    Sheffield United - relegated

QPR - on verge of relegation before he was sacked

Crystal Palace - on verge of relegation before he was sacked

thats his 4 top flight seasons

He's better at getting teams up than keeping them up to be fair.

So what you're saying is, he's a great fluffer.

  5. Didn't realise the General was still here. I hope someone has a word with him because he's just turned this into a fiasco.

The press were fishing with the phone call sacking and he was caught hook, line and sinker.

  6. i live in Ireland and I despise Celtic/Rangers and their fans and Neil Lennon is the posterboy for Old Firm wankerness.

Cant be a coincidence that Henrik Larsson or Stilian Petrov or even Martin O'Neill never got into any  trouble when they played in Scotland

I'm from the north and I dislike the Old Firm also, such a waste of time with the feral dislike for one another. However, I fail to see how the decisions of these people in their careers should taint their characters. Yes, they may be poster boys but I fail to see how the fact the fans may have scumbag element also makes the players/managers guilty by association.

  7. Apologies, it was Zatman who called him an asshole.

Still, I don't think making statements about him like you did without explaining why is a fair thing to do. There's absolutely no context.

  8. I'm starting to think some of the dislike for Lennon is this.

Also, I think not explaining yourself for calling someone an asshole twice in one post is a total cop out. Am I missing something here? What has he done to warrant that?

  9. Saw someone on Facebook say he was the worst player ever to wear a Villa shirt.

    Crikey...

Make no mistake, it was worse than any Pub player performance, and the sad thing is it is not the first time I have seen him give the ball away often like this. I can't remember which game it was but he gave it away so many times in succession it eventually led to a goal or goals. Nowhere good enough at this level. Having an off day is one thing, but turning into a confused amateur footballer with no direction or being able to pass to another teammate is another. I would drop him just on the basis of that last performance to be honest.

yet he was a standout player in the World Cup

The only problem with your retort is that I was referring particularly to THAT performance, as well as the other performance I tried to highlight. NOT the player in general. . You simply cannot afford those performances at this level, and especially not in our current plight!

So he's had a few dodgy games and arguably been MOTM in a few others and pretty decent in the rest and he should be benched as he isn't good enough for this level?

In case you haven't noticed, Cleverly, Benteke and a few others have done very little this season, in fact they are much more deserving of being benched compared to Sanchez and a few dodgy performances. Finally, yesterday, everyone was terrible. To single one player out and say they aren't good enough when the majority of the team was below par is plain silly.

  10. Should get him to post something along the lines of Benteke being a one season wonder. If Benteke pulls his thumb out of his arse then we know your man has something going on.

Sanchez had a bad day at work. We all do. I'm glad he kept trying anyway, just kept going. That's the right mentality.

  11. Anyway, I'm surprised you've not gone off him seeing as he backed the manager and the chairman ;)

Him signing a deal made me able to deal with it.
So if/when Guzan signs a new deal? Likely without all this fuss either.

Without going over old ground too much. All I said was I went off guzan. I didn't say I hated him, I didn't say he was the devil. I just went off him a bit. Delph commenting that both have been good to him when signing a new deal is different to what put me off guzan.

What on earth are you on about?

  12. Still retains my support . Anyone surprised ?

Still has my support too. It's as if he fixes one problem then another arises.

First two seasons we were banging goals in but leaking more. Now we're conceding less but getting nothing in the final third.

The back four are decent, fair play to Hutton for working hard and he really has improved. Hats off.

Okore and Clark are a good pairing and Baker is decent backup for Clark. Clark for captain for me to be honest. Cissokho does the job, finding a top quality left back is hard never mind on a shoestring.

The midfield needs a little work but we're getting there. Sanchez and Westwood are decent but similar, Sanchez for me.

Delph can go if he wants. Bacuna should probably see a bit more game time, he's a good squad player and useful at times.

Cleverly should never be chosen ahead of Gil again. He's on loan and Gil has signed for the club, sticking a loaned player on in his place would just be poor form.

    Now for the front three.

I can't wait for Kozak to come back, I always rated him, even in his limited appearances. He just looks like a big striker that gets in the right areas, something Benteke isn't doing (I'll get back to 'The Beast' in a minute)

Gabby needs to be rested for a bit to try out different formations without him. He can change a game but it's rare, he's also not Captain material.

I like Weimann, I think he's a great poacher and sticking him in the box instead of out wide would bring goals, but that means displacing Benteke.

Benteke. One and a half good seasons a world class player does not make. He's either offside or not moving much. Berating team mates for what amounts to not moving for the ball is unacceptable. Yeah, you hammered in a good few goals previously but his attitude at the minute stinks. I can understand his frustration but it doesn't excuse petulance and behaving like a spoiled child.

Lambert needs to sort out a few things in the team, time will tell if he has the stones to make the needed changes. There has been progress in some areas but there has also been regression in others.
