  1. "Have you heard of Tim Sherwood ?? Not really, no"

"Have you heard of Claudio Ranieri ?? Of course, one of the most famous managers in Europe"

Ranieri one of the most famous managers in europe rofl

This thread is funny. There's a completely unrelated grammar lesson on possessive pronouns going on simultaneously.

I had a good chuckle at all that. The Shinji thread is an eye opener though, some fans complaining about casual racism and the response at times is "so what". Wowzer.

  2.

What I really hate about footballers is when they turn up to medicals in normal clothes. They are professionals participating in a process that is part of a multi million pound deal and they just turn up in trainers.

No dig at Adebayor as it is all of them.

    Edit: Also Jordadebayor

    What should he wear?

    Suit and tie

Ever had a full medical in a suit and tie? Also, it's not an interview.

  3. He was played as a wide forward apparently, possibly better conversion rate as an out and out striker. Still, seems like a lot of cash but maybe other clubs are sniffing around and we really need a young replacement for the big man.

  4. So you really think Richards should have lied to him and not given an honest opinion?

Didn't have to lie, could have toned it down a little. He's had a bit too much to say ever since signing. Bit too much about Manc City. Its ok in your first interview since moving, sure, but he is now on our books, knows how instrumental our captain is to us, just doesnt look good to me reading things like:Fabian Delph has revealed that conversations with former Manchester City defender Micah Richards influenced him to change his mind about moving to the club.

Delph signed a five-year contract with City on Friday, less than a week after rejecting the transfer and committing his future to Aston Villa through a strongly-worded statement.

It has now emerged that new Villa signing Richards, who had denied persuading Delph to snub City earlier this week, was influential in the U-turn.

Is that a quote from news or something? Nothing directly quoting Delph saying it influenced him.

  5. I would hope that the club is in good order and ready for due diligence since it's been on the market for quite some time. If I was selling I'd get everything in order and have the processes in place to keep it that way so when a buyer comes along, it goes smoothly.

I suspect trimming wages etc was most likely part of this, personally I'm impressed we weren't relegated during that considering all aspects of the club were probably going through similar. Let's hope we know by July!

  6. I think it was established back in 2013 that Kismet was like many agents, looking out for his next pay cheque rather than what's right for the player. How many careers have gone down the crapper over this? Man City is like a cash in for these guys.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Benteke stay. He's quality, but a lot of other fans see him as a form player and somewhat inconsistent and also unlucky with injuries.

I'm totally 50/50 on if he goes or stays, neither would surprise me and thankfully, this means I won't get wrapped up in the will he won't he drama of a few years ago. I'd prefer it if he stays, obvisouly.

  7. Ohhhhh snap! What a free kick!

    Guess who's back, back again

    Teke's back, tell a friend,

    'Teke's back,

    'Teke's back,

    'Teke's back,

    'Teke's back,

    'Teke's back,

    'Teke's back,

  8. I get the feeling some of you guys get offended or annoyed just for the sake of an arguement.

That was a bossin' tackle. Yes it could have ended badly but it didn't.

We've seen a lot of less intense tackles go badly before.

He was committed and it paid off. Well timed, firm and fair in my eyes.

The most innocuous of tackles can crock an opponent depending on timing, landing etc etc. I simply cannot see what is wrong with the tackle in question.
