Just came here to see if there was any news on Heck today? Anyone got anything?

Chelsea a concern now with their upturn in results… gaps closing all over the place now. We were 20 points ahead of them. Now 12.

If we are trying to be serious, Dendonker would be the one to recall for Kamara, not Sanson.
Who’s the better looking out of the two?

Ok but we genuinely played well against United last night? It wasn't like the Chelsea or Newcastle games at all.
And that's without mentioning the demolition of Sheffield United. Yeah they're shit but if we really were as bad as people are making out, we wouldn't have won that game so easily.
We probably didn’t look as bad. But to be honest I struggle to see much beyond the goals we concede when we lose, because it’s usually down to the defence looking like an absolute shambles. And, be fair, the United goals were piss poor.
And, I do think United will catch us.

After we beat Arsenal, Man Utd were 8 points behind us.
Now they’re 5 points behind us.
All of that poor form, all of these shit games, and they’ve caught up 3 points. And that’s because they fluked a result against us last night
Dont underestimate how difficult it will be to overtake us
Honestly your confidence is great. But, let’s not kid ourselves here. We look likely to lose 3 or 4 in a row. Utd have hit form and manage to grind out results whilst being so rediculously boring to watch. We are bad at the moment, injuries means we struggle to get a consistent starting 11. Defence has taken an absolute battering. We won’t stay ahead of United for much longer.

Yeah because I'm sure a Sunday league team would've largely dominated Man United yesterday and only narrowly lost 2-1.
Stop taking things so literally man. Lighten up a little! New week and all that jazz

Probs shouldn’t have loaned out Dendocker eh.

I hope the players don’t have the same attitude.
They seem to like losing and playing like a Sunday league team at the minute.. so they probs do!

We don't do draws so.
That’s a worse prediction than me! I have us on 63 points come the end of the season. Before the Man U game I said 5 wins, 2 draws, 8 losses…

I’m still confident we can get 6th but Man U and Spurs will have a much stronger finish to the season.
And Newcastle. They’re all winning games and not necessarily playing brilliantly. Grinding out the wins whilst are on a nosedive in form.
-
Fulham will batter us. Going 3-0 to them. Forest and Luton will sit back and play on the counter. Might get a draw against those two but wouldn’t be surprised if we lose 1-0.

I have a feeling he’ll owe Liverpool something if he ended his contract at Liverpool early and then immediately took another job (doing Liverpool out of a fee / compensation).
Not unless he had a break clause in his recent extension… like Hamilton did at Mercedes…

When you said "Arsenal fans appear to have been right".
Unless you think they were wrong to hound him out, in which case they weren't right?
They were right about his teams dropping off in form after X amount of time…
Now, I’m happy for him to have lots more time to turn it around based on the fact we weren't already an ‘elite’ side. But if this continues for the rest of the season then I’m going to have more questions about his ability to manage in this league and whether he can actually infiltrate the Sky 6. Some will say that’s a bit early, but I think we have looked horrible for 2 months…6 months of this will be pretty concerning.

I didn't realise the season began two months ago.
But it has been going for 6 months and we have now been crap for 1/3 of it.

On the bright side mate, we're very unlikely to go down with 46 points

1 minute ago, Mantis said:
What's your point? It's still in our hands as things stand, and we've shown that we can also go on a winning run.
Not in the last two months we haven’t. I wouldn’t call one win a ‘winning run’

I suggest you go and look at the stats and highlights of the match
You're always trying to bang this drum.
We actually did play well, fine margins, multiple times we were centimetres away from a touch and goal.
I'll bet you you will even find Man U fans who believe we played well and that they had some luck.
Even the commentators carry the same sentiment.
It's also possible to play shit and win a game... Or if you play shit but win... Does it automatically make it a good performance?
Ok fine.. good stats. So how many points does that give us then now the game has finished?

About what? They hounded him out during a difficult post-Wenger period and they weren't even doing that badly.
That they had a good run initially but then started to see a complete collapse in results…

…Play like that and we will get results against enough of the league that should see us get Europe again.
Sweet Jesus.

5 minutes ago, Mantis said:
It honestly does feel as if certain fans are almost willing us to have a collapse. Some seem to be absolutely revelling in it. Bit pathetic really.
@Spoony is right - we played well and psychologically Man United have a unique edge over us. If we play like that for the rest of the season we'll be fine. I was worried we'd see a repeat of the Newcastle/Chelsea performance but we didn't.
Unfortunately this is the mentality of those who are used to supporting a side that loses regularly. You don’t play well and lose. if you lose, it’s because you haven’t done something right as a team. Do you think Messi or Ronaldo are happy when their sides ever lose a game? You can damn well bet that they are grumpy as hell. They certainly don’t come out with “oh it’s ok we had better possession and passed the ball around a lot more so we’ll win loads of games…”
We were shite! Demand better!

1 minute ago, Spoony said:
I am well aware. You can play well and lose.
We haven’t played well then… we conceded two really poor goals and looked pretty clueless in the final third…. If we keep doing that, we aren’t winning anything
-
Just now, Spoony said:
Some perspective - we actually played well. We are mentally incapable of beating Man Utd. Play like that in our upcoming games and we remain in the running.
We lost…

Don't sound too happy now please
Clearly not about being ‘happy’ is it. But it’s still a joke or an idea to even consider at this point. We are dreadful.

Has to be made up. It says performances on the pitch are masking what is going on behind the scenes… so surely they are both a shambles?
