He is easily our best attacking player, creates and scores.
We missed him, would have won if he played. I reckon Ayew would have been dropped if he wasn't injured

I just want the season to finish..
- The players do not compliment each other and share a lack of understanding
- Injuries have hurt us this season
- Our manager cannot motivate these players hence why he brought 'leaders' to the club
- Our players don't look fit
- We have no style in our play, whether its long ball, counter attacking or possession based we have nothing.
- The squad unbalanced
- Our set pieces are still crap
- The Steve Clarke and Kevin Bond seem to be limited in what they can do
- The players lack confidence
- RDM doesn't know his strongest team
- What manager would want to work under a TD if we sack RDM?
- We have Newcastle next who got thumped by Wolves..
-
One of the most frustrating things i have ever seen..
I can't see him lasting until mid October. I would not be surprised if they are discussions of several replacements.
I hate that we keep chopping and changing, but why can't we ever get a decent manager to just organise our team and implement some structure or balance.
We have no set way of playing its all too frustrating..
-
Why is RDM sitting on the bench, he needs to be screaming at those players

Unfortunately this is a result of what happens when there is major overhaul 2 months..
RDM doesn't know his team, each player's fitness levels are different. The players cannot play cohesively.
We will finish in the top 10 this season even if we win this evening.

Very good formation,
Our Center Backs should not be under any intense pressure. If we get attacked on the wings, and our wing backs are caught out of position this will allow Jedinak to drop at deeper whilst one of the center backs covers the wing back position. Defensively we look covered.
The midfield battle could be a bit tough because the lack of mobility this is why the support of the wing backs are going to be vital. I don't expect Jedinak and Westwood to control the game, the onus will be on the wing backs & Grealish to provide some sort of attacking intent and control to the game. I can also see Ayew dropping deep but hopefully this does not isolate Kodjia.

I wouldn't be surprised if Steve Round has his managers list already tbh
-
I would like him to stay because i hate the idea of sacking managers continuously, having said that if were in a similar position a month or two down the line he has to leave.

Will be a tough game, best we can hope for is a draw

Man City fans bloody got it in the Premier League.... Why can't we in the league below?!?lol no they didn't
they finished 10th and then 5th during the first two years of being brought. It took them three years to be a top 4 club

Let's just hope he doesn't catch the Villa bug!
most of our new players have caught it already!

not true, last season it meant an easy 3 points on Saturday. this season its a we will get a morale boosting late draw or winner
I'm talking about stature and history, it doesn't mean anything for us right now.
We lost that novelty once MON left. There are teams in our away dressing room that have never played in the premier league before knowing they can score and get a win against us.
We have no entitlement.
It all comes from the pitch. All we can do is back our team and manager and hope for the best..

Didn't we all think this would take time in the summer? Has the money really gone to our heads that much?

What i don't understand is that he is playing all of our forward players at once.
We started with FOUR strikers, seriously unbalanced..
He needs to put players in the rightful position and let them fight for their places.
If our wingers are injured then play more narrower and go route one..
There needs to be some diversity in our tactics.
The injuries hasn't helped, but we should have brought more central midfielders.
Most of us are hoping that Tshibola comes back with Jedinak but is that honestly a strong midfield?
We cannot have a midfield two with Westwood or Gardner, those players work in a three. Even if its Bacuna in that three..
Xia has RDM on a two year contract for a reason..
I just hate the fact that we keep chopping and changing managers.

I wasn't expecting promotion this season it was far too unrealistic.
We are a championship club and we will be for some time.
As hard as is to take its something that we have to accept.
-
i reckon he's going to go back to the analysis team.

I am very excited about this appointment, he has experience in the game this is what we need. High level football experience at our club.
He could be our Les Reed.
Round and Stone partnership will hopefully be the key ingredient to our future success.
We are pretty much having a similar structure to Southampton.
I've took this from an article a few years ago on from the Guardian
QuoteOne of the most important places in the building is the recruitment and analysis room and it is here where you will find Southampton’s “black box”, a room where matches and prospective signings from leagues around the world are analysed extensively on a video screen that looks as if it could store all of the world’s secrets.
“The player profiling is bespoke to Southampton,” says Paul Mitchell, Southampton’s head of recruitment. “Really we try to interline our recruitment with our philosophy. It’s important our players play in our system and in our style and cope with the demands of the manager and the coaching staff. Our lists aren’t endless. It’s not every player that can play in our style but we look for the best fit for us when we put together our recruitment targets.
“At the moment we are a very athletic team. We cover an awful lot of distance. We’ve matured a lot over the last few years in the Premier League. The attributes of a Southampton player? He has to be athletic, he has to be able to move and engage with the environment and engage with the information that Southampton give them to make them successful in their careers.”
Another article from the Telegraph
Quote“All of our pitches at the training ground have remote control cameras which come back to the Black Box. An analyst could have any training session, whether it’s under-8s right the way through to the first team. All that data is coded and analysed and it can be used for any age group of players, merged with match analysis, used as a teaching tool. So when our scouts are out doing opposition reports all that’s fed in automatically.
“In terms of recruitment, we have feeds from most of the good leagues around the world. We have analysts who chop them up and code them. When we’re looking at players we have instant access to video material or statistical analysis. It enables us to compare potential recruits with the profiles of our own players. That’s one way we can compare potential recruits with our own academy players and say – you know what, this kid meets the profile anyway. That helps all of our decision-making.
“We’ve got a fantastic group of eyes-on scouts and fantastic analysts – so the idea is that they challenge each other all the time. So when a scout says - this is the best striker in Croatia, the analysts have all the data to challenge it.
“You come out of meetings and you can see everyone’s motivated by it. We have conflicting views and debates. But we have enough back-up to say – this is right, this is right. Everybody comes out of them good friends.”

I genuinely believe that we are entering a new era at this football club.
Welcome Steve!!

So, how many players do you think we'll bring in before the window slams shut tomorrow night?
0?
1?
2?
3?
Or more?
It's been great fun this transfer window. I hope we can sign a winger, centre back and attacking midfielder. Possibly a goalie on loan.
Weirdly enough i think we have our attacking midfielder in Jack Grealish,
I am slightly gutting that newcastle brought Atsu on loan. De Laet would be good cover across the back four so we could be ok defensively.
2 wide men and a goalkeeper would be amazing.
1 wide man and a goalkeeper would be satisfactory.
-
I really hope we sign some wide players, there are good enough wingers in the Championship,League one even non-league that could improve our team.
-
Happy with the recent signing but we seriously need some creativity, i just cannot see where the assists are going come from in our team.
Bacuna and Ayew are the most likely to create from the wing and thats not enough. McCormack needs to play as a 2nd striker, he is wasted on the wings and he will not score much from that side of the pitch.
If we don't sign a winger/s there will be no pattern or sequence in our attacking play.
Ideally the 4-4-1-1 formation is the best formation we could play with this season

Do you guys think sacking RDM would be a backwards step in regards to continuity, club structure & morale?
