What you talking about? Martinez never touched it. It was a pretty clear cut penalty.
It was a pretty clear offside but no lines shown of course. On my perfectly legal US stream it clearly shows him offside

I personally look forward to his analysis of the games and love his enthusiasm for the Villa. Why people are getting so irritated by him I can’t understand. Anyone who obviously loves our great club from as far away as Canada and spends so much time promoting us on the internet is fine by me and deserves respect.

I know it was one game and a moment of madness but it was so bad.
Exactly the same mistake was made by Luiz at Brighton and Kamara against Leicester. Why the hate for Dendonker ?

Oh well, we could of wasted £70m on Sancho or £80m on Mudryck. This is what you get from most wingers. We’re not the only club who have this problem. Needs to be used as a impact sub

He's not elite so an elite club won't come in for him
Just been named in the top three goalkeepers in the world and could probably win the award. However you obviously know far more than the experts.

Let’s see at the end of the season. Happy to be wrong.
I doubt it.

Shocking defending leaving 2 or 3 players free on edge of box for corners. Arsenal kept exploiting it . If McPhee is responsible it’s time to go. Luiz and Kamara not even looking whilst 3 Villa players pointing at them. Pathetic

Looks like he was past the ball and couldn’t head it out for a corner just make contact with it.

He had plenty of chances at Villa coming off the bench tbf and never really took his chance.
10 minutes here and there is not giving plenty of chances.

I'd argue we've regressed tbh
Remind me how Targett is getting on at Newcastle? Playing second fiddle to a 6’7” centre half

Can’t understand how Luiz was given offside for Coutinho goal as the ball clearly comes off a Leicester defender. Am I missing something?

Obviously not learning from our mistakes. Three identical goals conceded now trying to play out.Poor decisions by keepers as they can see the press and poor by the receiving player as they should be passing back to the keeper. Unai needs to address this immediately.

It's not really the sources for me. We shouldn't be promoting something that **** up a lot of people just because others do it or just because they pay more money.
(To be honest, I think gambling sponsors will be banned soon enough anyway - and rightly so)
Is playing the Lottery not gambling?

Taking a big gamble to go into second half of season with only one experienced striker and winger both who are very inconsistent. Worrying

Can’t see this one happening. Wolves nearly signed him last Summer but read an article where he’s parents said struggle being so far away from home recently.

Poor window so far. Weak squad. Being left behind by other sides. Good job we picked up points when we did under Emery.
Funny that I could of sworn we’ve got the second best record since Emery came in. Including wins against top 6 teams Utd, Spurs and Brighton. Really being left behind can’t be that bad.
-
Surprised we’ve let him go without having a replacement agreed. We could end up getting rinsed for a striker now as clubs know we’re desperate or struggling if we don’t get a replacement.

As far as I am concerned Coutinho doesn't play for us
Funny that because him coming on Friday night won us back control of the game. He kept possession and made himself available for the ball which released the pressure we were under

I’m surprised by how positive the comments are to be honest. Not writing him off at all - it’s a huge challenge to come off the bench and debut in the PL, obviously he only got here a few days ago.
I thought first half he was really poor, gave the ball away a lot. Missed a completely rash challenge flying in. Played Rodrigo onside for the chance that was eventually cleared off the line (which was great tracking back by him, so fair play - maybe got a bit lucky with where the deflection went though, as it was off his trailing leg).
He was slightly better second half. I remember a nice pass into the box he picked out. He seemed to think he had an extra second - but I guess that’s PL vs La Liga. I was surprised Leeds didn’t stick Gnonto on him 1:1.
Hope the Digne injury isn’t too serious, and this guy can be given a fair period to adapt. However, he is 29, so hardly one for the future.
Very harsh assessment. He wasn’t the one who played Rodrigo onside he actually holds his position well. Struggled early on because he was thrown in cold having only had one training session and was targeted with a high press. Excellent debut

He wasn't exactly free...he has the second biggest salary on the team. (Behind Digne, of all people.)
He was free and deserves to be our highest paid player.

Can someone explain why he was sent off under the double jeopardy rule? He had let go of his shirt outside the area and is clearly trying to win the ball inside the area. Surely worth an appeal

Woeful. Bailey's finish at the end sunned it up.
Dogshit performance.
I'm finish at that bag of piss served up just now. It's like they felt they done it all at White Hart Lane and only had to turn up today.
I don't want players at my club with that attitude **** whoever think a that way off.
Out off.the ball movement at home was non existent. Out intent, our purpose, our gameplan was nothing.
Utter shit Villa and aim not lettering the manager get away Scott free as he sets them up, organises them and he got outdone early and didn't change it.
Worst performance from Emery and his side.
What?

My overall point is that because he's getting some attention, Villa fans are panicking about him leaving and in the process overestimating his value to us. He's a good keeper, he's not world class. As a few have said, he's been average for us this season, even poor on some of the goals he's conceded.
He should have saved at least one of the Saudi goals, and no right to get to the Mbappe one? It wasn't in the corner.
Far to critical of Martinez. I don’t think any keeper would of saved Mbappe goal. He probably pulled off two of the three best saves at the WC against France and Australia. Then you have the penalties against France and Netherlands. Easily tripled his value as golden glove winner at WC and Copa America
