As a member who lives in Ireland, I manage to get over to between 5 to 8 games a season. This is ideal for me as the biggest pain is getting away from the ground after games.
To be able to go to the ground early and have a good drink with food and straight after the game is something I’ve been wanting for years.
I know regular fans not as financially comfortable as others will be up in arms but the club needs to bring money in now if we want to keep up.Surely once the Warehouse is built this will accommodate fans who don’t want the corporate experience.
The club really should of improved the present service available in the concourse’s before announcing this though.

Not a pen for me.
Watkins definitely got a touch on the ball first, Anderson then gets a touch but not strong enough to divert the ball away from Watkins, who he then cleans out. Exactly what the ref was telling VAR.Penalty!

Literally no benefit at all. Smacks of chaos amongst the playing and coaching staff.
Absolute bizarre outlook you have on some Villa related topics

They beat Lazio home and away and beat Anderlecht so they’re no mugs.

Think we’re done for this window. Maybe the rumours around Tammy Abraham were true and we will sign him in January. I think he’s due back late November.

Our best player! So cool and collected £15m was a steal, surely Brazil must play him. He oozes class.

We trigger it. He can reject us. He's not a piece if meat and there's a good chance he will have other suitors if he succeeds.
As people have said this is a glorified loan which allows us more wriggle room with FFP.
We can purchase a player that is ready for the first team now and if Ramsey develops well enough at Burnley buy him back. That’s a clever way to circumnavigate FFP restrictions and strengthen the first team immediately in the area’s we need.- 1

Torres and Doku would absolutely transform this team. Bailey flatters to deceive and Watkins simply isn’t clinical enough for a CL chasing team.

Coutinho and Bailey should be moved on asap. The drop off in quality when they came on was alarming. Shift Bailey and replace with Doku. Loan out Archer and try for Torres.

Digne is not a back up, he’s an alternative. There is a difference and he’s a valuable member of the squad. He will play loads this season.
Digne, Dendonker and Chambers are all very good players who would hold down a place in most Premier League teams.
We have to accept it is a squad game now and these players have never let us down.- 4

The longer this goes on the more chance we have of being gazumped. I wouldn’t be surprised if Man City replace Mahrez with him.
Monchi needs to earn his corn here as this is his first signing attempt as Torres was pretty much done.

No matter how much blood money the Saudis throw at it they will never compete with European football.Who will watch it on TV ? The usual tourist hanger on’s from Africa and Asia definitely but what do they contribute to their club’s? Nothing apart from clogging up all the forums. Remember Samatha ? God help us we never have to put up with that again
-
UEFA we’re quick enough to come down on Villa and Brighton regarding shared ownership. Maybe the powers that be should be more proactive and only allow U20 development players be loaned or transferred between multi ownership clubs.
Saudis are obviously trying to destabilise European football with sports washed blood money which has no relevance to the earnings of these clubs.
Don’t expect FIFA to do anything though. What with Infatano now living in the Middle East since the Qatar World Cup !- 1

If Diaby chooses money over football aspirations, he’s not the type of player we want. Could be time to move on. He will be giving up any hope he has of playing for his country and playing meaningful competitive football for blood money. Not the type of character I want playing for my club.
Or just maybe he wants to be in the same league as the greatest player ever to pull on football boots !!!!!

Can't wait to see the back of them.
No excuses for these increases. No amount of "success" or player signing justifies this.
I travel from Ireland regularly for games, have done so under owners like Ellis, Lerner and Xia. So I don’t care how much I have to pay to watch the quality on offer now!
If people are prepared to pay to watch a higher standard then so be it. It’s called supply and demand and there’s obviously the demand.- 10

So many wet wipes on here. The top is fine certainly the best and most vibrant of the other kit stealers.

If we have to get rid of this badge (and I don't really see any reason why we need to), then I'd be happy with a lion that has the words Aston Villa underneath it - no shield, no crest, no badge, just a lion and the words.
100% this . It’s so simple, I don’t understand how they got it so wrong. Turn the lion around and just our name and the lion.

PSG written all over this. Mendes using us again to bump up his wages to go and play in Europes sixth ranked league. He’s just happy to play in CL

Just wish we'd get it done and confirmed, taking an absolute age. Seems other clubs announce a signing and they're in the kit doing interviews within 24 hours, we seem to take weeks before anything is official.
That’s far from true now is it ? Tielemans, Ings etc we’re announced without the media even knowing about it.

Not the wrong badge, just no badge ..
Their not allowed to advertise with club badges but usually spot on

If people are moaning about the home shirt just wait until they see the feeble effort for the away shirt! Being sold on DHGate it’s a throwback to the 90’s white with a little blue and black on the shoulder. Awful

For me the facade of the Holte End with the steps is unique to Villa and should of been replicated for the North Stand. Villa Live was too close to the new stand and took away the appeal for me.
The stand alone lion with our name would also be unique and instantly be recognised even without our name (the right way around though!). -

Not ideal is it really. Seems like a lot of the changes we were looking forward to etc have all been scrapped - the new badge idea not appearing to be a permanent thing, it’s not even being used on marketing/promotional stuff… stadium development plans now being ‘amended’…. No signings imminent (that have cost money).. Sounds like cost cutting to me!
Or maybe after employing a marketing expert who has a track record of achieving a massive success of branding of a sports franchise, they actually take his advice. Certain people are just perpetually negative towards the club they supposedly support.
-
Obviously the club have been told Witton Station is not being upgraded after today’s announcement from BCC. Therefore they have probably decided to go ahead with the North Stand and upgrade Stumps in the meantime putting Villa Live on the back burner.
This will give them time to judge whether Villa Live is viable in the long run. Maybe the club is looking at subsidising buses to and from the ground as an alternative. All in all a sensible approach. I like Heck’s decision making approach

Once this lad gets up to speed he is going to be exceptional. Playing just off the striker with freedom to roam he will offer the X factor.
Him and Diaby can be game changer’s.
