What’s happening? We were told Spurs were going to leapfrog us because they’re playing better than us. Facts are our results are better than theirs despite them playing fewer games. Some people can’t see the wood through the trees.

Four poor performances in a row?
We’ve taken seven points from them four poor performances. Considering we’re struggling with injuries and suspensions, obviously the form will dip. Look at Newcastle, Spurs, Utd, all missing players and all losing games. We’ve lost ONE in 11! Spurs 5, Newcastle 6 and Utd 5.
Maybe we might lift it when we get players back and solidify our superb year.Supporting the team through this patch is what they need. It’s easy to support them when they’re winning.

Mmm, not having it. Sounds a lot like high horse BS.
Four poor performances in a row. There's reasons to be frustrated and worried about wasting a good start.
If we lose the next five games we'll be on 39 from 24. Projected for more points than last season. Something that would have been viewed as a positive before the season started.
Let's lift it and start playing well again.
M’mmm not having it sounds like a lot of negative bs to me.
We’re still third after a draining month where we will have played nine games. Our squad has been deprived of important players through injury and suspensionHowever we have still beaten Man City, Arsenal and Spurs in that month. We also topped our European group and qualified.
How anyone can be negative about that is a tad annoying and mystifying.- 1

They’re currently playing better than us.
Funny that but I seem to remember us beating the Champions and Arsenal over a few days just a fortnight ago. Not to mention Spurs on their own patch just before that.
We’ll be above Spurs still by February. Have some confidence we’re about to play our ninth game in a month. Spurs are still behind us despite easier and far less fixtures.- 3

Just so disappointed with that performance.Even before we scored,I counted seven times in first ten minutes we gave away possession.
Luiz and Carlos looked like they partied yesterday .Worst Luiz performance in well over a year and Carlos was so poor.
Playing Konsa at right back seriously weakened us and that is a position that hopefully Monchi has prioritised.
Diaby and Ramsey really need to find some form as they appear to have fallen off a cliff.
Sadly another classic Xmas let down by Villa.- 1

Our star is fading, even if we're still high up in the table. I'm afraid we're not going to make it. Conference League again next season will be a good achievement in the end.
Wow are you really a Villa supporter? Sooner comeback and draw in injury time with seven internationals missing than throw away a two goal lead in injury time to Crystal Palace!

The fact that this abomination even made it to his desk let alone being signed off, let alone triumphantly launched by him as his only public comment to date as being “on brand” is the definition of concerning.
The man is way out of his depth.
Way out of his depth ? Have you not seen what HE done with the rebrand of the Philadelphia 76ers ?
I think I’ll put my trust in the business acumen of our two self made multi billionaire owners over the musings of fans who have no insight whatsoever on the running of a sports brand.- 4

Give Heck some credit. What he achieved with Philadelphia was astounding. If we can grow our brand even 50% of how they have, we are laughing. Something is cooking with Atarios.
I’m more than happy getting it right on the pitch and developing the squad to be able to qualify for CL regularly . That’s where the big money can be made.
NWSE can obviously see the opportunity of achieving CL football this season and are right to delay knocking the North Stand and the reduced capacity .They’re successful business men for a reason and I trust them to be successful with our club. Trust the process -
Just throwing it out there but I think it is just a tester for the new badge colours.
I still believe it will be a plain gold lion. -
Cash is shocking, not tracking back or crossing the ball. He’s leaving Konsa against two men all the time. Ramsey and Moreno not up to speed.
Big changes needed to try and save this shit show -
Watkins disallowed goal looked onside from the parallel angle but they chose to use the camera angle from the goal line. Why, as this clearly gave a distorted view ?

Problem with playing high line is linesmen are not giving obvious initial offsides and let play develop. Villa have to win ball back and progress play from deep.
Or play is allowed to develop giving them momentum. Put the effin flag up! Or have these rule changes caused this ridiculous situation? -
-
If he’s up for it we should play him. Paqueta at West Ham is in far more trouble and looks guilty as sin but he’s playing out of his skin.
-
Stop Neto and Villa should win. McGinn to help Digne should suffice. This lot only had one attempt on target against City yet scored two goals!

That's what I'm reading in to that quote... but the injury rumours that have been leaked about our players to date have almost always been right. Suggests there's some loose lips in our physio team, or at whichever place we do our scans at.
Fingers crossed until we hear more, would love to be pleasantly surprised
Strong rumours that he’s broken his 3rd metatarsal. Wasn’t detected at the time just his 4th and 5th .
Three to ten weeks recovery depending on severity.Scandalous if true! What are the medical team doing?
That’s what’s being reported on H&V site

Don’t see any of our outstanding academy players pulling up any trees at their new clubs do we?
Maybe their not as good as we thought or just not ready for the PL yet.
Maybe when they are good enough if they ever are we’ll bring them back.
Maybe that’s the plan?
For where we want to be we need players ready now not in a couple of years!- 6

The most amazing thing about his performance was it was on the back of a pathetic yellow card after six minutes.
It was shoulder to shoulder and that dwarf Gilmore grabbed his head.
One of the best 3 midfielders in the PL. Hope he has a big clause in his contract- 2

Jeez. Talk about taking things out of context. Jacob probably meant ‘ look at the turnout’ for possible qualification to the third tier European competition, imagine what it would be like for Champions League!
However fan’s are happy to jump on any miss interpretation and beat him or the club with. This lad has more affiliation with the club than most of us. He’s born and bred Villa and been with the club since a kid .
For God’s sake give the lad a break

The stand alone lion, as on Unai’s suit jacket with Aston Villa above and 1874 below. No star!
I think that’s as iconic as we can get and we can just use the lion on it’s own as well.

Yep didn't think they looked quite as bad yesterday and I only saw the second half.
Looked to me that they weren’t wearing the Pro fit version as they were looser fitting.

Juventus already sniffing around and using the press to do their dirty work.
Another disgusting club along with Barcelona, Chelsea, Man Utd etc who should all be bankrupt. They use agents and the press to unsettle players they are interested in.

I come over from Ireland for games and despite having 3 family memberships find it difficult to get three seats together.
Would come more often if could get seats together.
