I guess he didn't know that Android devices can see those and warn if you are being followed.

Apple cares about your privacy, as long as you are the stalker.

OK, time to pay my credit card bill… Well hold on there pilgrim, how do we know you are who you say you are trying to pay a credit card bill? We need some extra id checks.

You always need to authenticate with your bank before you can make a payment, whatever it is for. Most people use their fingerprint in their bank's app.

Let's say I theoretically wanted to gift a couple of "print at home" tickets for this game. Would there be a procedure on this that would not anger the club and get me history for my tickets going through the turnstiles for future games?

If this is a bad question, mods, just message me and punt this post into the void

You phone the club and allocate the tickets to other fan ids in your friends list. You might also be able to do this from the website if it's in the right mood.

This might sound a little strange but.... I've lost all interest in my job and work.

I used to really enjoy my work and probably more importantly the people I worked with. COVID hit and obviously everything changed and now the company is mostly remote working. This has killed it for me. I'm one of the strange ones who can't really work at home. I'm IT based so I'm able to work from home I just find it incredibly hard to not be constantly distracted at home. When we used to be in the office I was able to focus on projects and time would fly by. I could share ideas and problems with colleagues straight away. I really enjoyed the whole thing for the most part. Now I feel incredibly isolated, when I do visit the office it's mostly empty.

The whole working experience is now totally hollow. I find myself without enthusiasm or motivation where previously I had it in abundance.

    Pffffffftttt.

Have you tried a shared workspace?

I have been to the sty to watch small heath

I went with a mate from school who was a ST holder as he had a spare ticket, it was as bad as you can imagine and this was about 25 years ago.

I went to the Sty to watch Kiddy Harriers knock them out of the cup. And to a couple of derbies vs the baggies.

It was hideous. I'm pretty sure that the "toilets" at the back of the away section used rain instead of a flush.

What extensions do you use? I'm in the process of moving from Apple to Android and Chrome.

I assume that you were already using Chrome on MacOS (as it's faster), so all the extensions you were using will come over through the usual sync.

Google's picture-in-picture extension is useful. I've got the Logitech extension for managing their dongles. Cog is useful for showing hardware status. I have tens of extensions installed, but they aren't Chromebook specific. Examples:

    • Guard.io
    • save to google tasks
    • save image as type
    • Google Docs offline (not sure if this still does anything)
    • Google Keep
    • Google Translate

  9. Moved to a new thread as off topic in Android.

Got myself a Chromebook and I'm super impressed. Anybody got any tips or some apps to recommend?

I use very few apps, but a fair few chrome extensions and PWAs. This means I get the same experience regardless of device.

It doesn't really matter anymore though as I only use Chrome devices

The thread is locked now, but if any contributors to the 2021-22 Villa Park Pilgrimage thread are reading this, thanks for all the wonderful advice. We've got a lot planned in Brum and the surrounding area for the next four days.

You could start a new one for this season.

Yeah, I get that, but i’m intrigued how so many people sell items below the lowest FBA level… is there a secret tier of pricing somewhere?

I guess they list from another country.

I’ve like been intrigued by selling on Amazon, I don’t understand how sellers sell cheap items (£1 / £1.20) and still make money?

The cheapest tier for the cheapest FBA are higher than that… is there some other tier of pricing that is much lower otherwise how are they making money?

It's a mug's game. If you have any success, Amazon will undercut you themselves.

Just seen in the news that despite us having experienced the wettest 18 months since records began the UK could face water shortages if this summer is hot and dry, which whilst not wanting to state the obvious is a possibility in summer. The reasons for this are that we are not storing our water properly with no new major reservoirs having been built in the past 30 years, rivers have been engineered to move water quickly so it runs into towns and cities (causing floods) and many wetlands have been drained then farmed or built on. All of this means that all the rainwater we get is not being stored properly but causing floods followed by water shortages in summer.

It's okay though. London and the South East are most at risk, so the magic funding tree will build some high speed water mains to London. Not a water grid though, they can't justify spending for that, just London.

Is it ever going to go away? I have saved my preferences, I had hoped that might get rid of it.

This is the consent framework I have to use for the advertising network. Sorry.

  16. Please keep this discussion about our players. As has been pointed out, there is already a thread to talk about refereeing and one for Man City and their players.
