Can someone with better knowledge of this stuff explain why this happens?

Surely we have the technology for legitimate streams like iPlayer and Amazon to be actually live. Or at least very nearly live?

Nope. You could get close to live, but not live. There are delays all over the place. With live football, there is probably someone there monitoring the feed and muting microphones getting knocked over for example..

I don’t think this is an apple or a keyboard thing. It’s at the top of the screen beneath the contacts name. Shows if they are online, typing or last online. They (Meta I assume) decided to make the first letter of online, typing or last a capital.

Ah, got it. I hadn't even noticed.

The O in Online has been made a capital on whatsapp.

It’s going to take some getting used to.

Not with Gboard. Your keyboard isn't part of the app. You control the spelling and autocorrect in your keyboard.

Is this an "Apple knows best" thing?

Agree it could be unlikely but wouldn't 8pm in the UK be 10pm in Greece?

You are correct. So if it goes to pans, they would still be at the stadium past midnight. I'm assuming that it will be 8pm local, so 6pm here, but all the usual sites are still saying 8pm.

Rudimentary sketch of the amount of parkland required … you’d need to cpo a bunch of houses to negate right to light issues also.

The three (ish) pillars placed on the park side of the road cost us the all weather area in the bottom left as well as the building and play areas you now whnt to knock down. We'd also need to CPO at least 12 properties in Nelson Road to maintain access around the ground (probably more). We would need to reroute the Trinity Road and possibly close one end of Nelson Road..

It would’nt need to carry any more weight as with the new main stand at Anfield the additional tier and new roof would be constructed behind then joined to the stand once the old roof was removed. No need to reduce capacity whilst the work was going on.

I think it’s a more realistic solution long term than moving grounds to get Villa park to over 60k

How could you build behind the Trinity? Probably easier to get a CPO on the Witton Lane side than consent to build in the park.

Managed to get some tickets for this, 4 of us going.

Last game I went to was Legia and my Dad printed off the tickets.

Dumb question - if I was to WhatsApp the pdf to each person going, can they be scanned via a phone on entrance or do I need to print them still?

There;s a separate thread about tickets. They should be able to add them to the wallet on their phone in case they don't have signal at the turnstile.

Could the Trinity take another tier if the roof was raised? Even a small one? Always felt it has a small capacity for such a large structure- corporate aside. Holte has more seats like and it is an end stand.

It was built by a cheap arse. It won't have capacity to add more weight.

To be honest it just sounds like more soundbytes from Sunak. I expect this morning there's a lot of red faced Gammons shaking their Daily Mails in the air shouting about finally sorting out the spongers.

But will he ever actually get to implement anything?

It's a dog whistle to their (dwindling) base.

If anyone has broadband recommendations I'd be grateful!

I love it how I trust villatalk more than the internet.

I'm still completely happy with Zzoomm. If they are in your area let me know as I have a code you can use for a discount.

There is a very long Daily Mail article published at the end of last month called "why Premier League Clubs want to kill off season tickets".

It says how the clubs want to get rid of season tickets and sell tickets at full-price every week.

Villa get quite a few mentions for how they are pricing fans out.

And yet almost everyone renewed. Sounds like a typical piss poor piece of journalism from that rag.

Fascinating when you come across these people that rate Facebook comments by Linda from Hull above what they could actually google on official government websites.

It's up there with people that insist that stealing tv services is not illegal.

Short of a lie detector test that’s the best evidence it is possible for us to have.

Lie detector tests don't work reliably. It's why they aren't admissible as evidence in court. Might as well go with the "look into their eyes" method.

I had some wireless headphones bought about 5 years ago, lasted me until now. Brilliant.

Bought some new ones, same brand. They're great but unlike the old ones , they don't shut themselves off after inactivity. You have to remember to click them off after you've used, which after 5 years with the previous pair and just taking them off my head has proven impossible.

5 years of technology advancement and they're worse than the old ones.

    They're constantly dead.

There's usually a setting for this in the companion app.
