CVByrne
I'm flying out of Auckland to Santiago on a Qantas flight, but I'm getting a flight up from wellington to Auckland on a Qantas owned Jetstar airways. Flights were booked separately My question is can I make these a connecting flight? So I only check in once and my bags will be transfered to my next flight? drat01
Usually they will be able to check you through all the way. What I have done when faced with something similar is a quick call to the airline to make sure that they "tag" the bookings together. The biggest problem you sometimes have is with budget airlines who have big issues with this and point blank refuse to do so. Just give the airline a call and they will tell you if its a yes / no. Also its sometimes a pain when you have online check in as one part may be OK with it and the other not Always check the luggage tags though just to make sure when you do eventually check in
