Get rid of savage, he mortgaged your future on high priced free agents and it hasn't worked. Trade Anderson and start building through the draft.

look at the best teams in the league over the past few years the Giants, PATs, Colts and Steelers and you will see that they all are successful because of their ability to draft well and mould these players to fit their system whilst only dipping into free agency for the bargain signings, getting people in on 1 year deals who are eager to prove themselves.

Being able to draft well is massively important, the Giants 07 draft was one of the best ever.

2007 - round 1 Aaron Ross starting corner, round 2 Steve Smith 3rd receiver leading team in receptions this year, round 3 Jay Alford pass rushing DT sacked Brady in final seconds of Super Bowl, round 5 Kevin Boss starting TE and one of Eli's main targets in the "green-zone", Round 7 Michael Johnson starting FS, Round 7 Ahmad Bradshaw 3rd string running back but good enough to start on most teams in the league and has great explosion and production, Undrafted - Michael Matthews - second string blocking specialist TE

2006 - round 1 Mathias Kiwanuka starting DE or starting OLB, round 4 Barry Coefield starting DT.

2005 - round 2 Corey Webster starting CB, round 3 Justin Tuck starting DE and the man replacing Strahan, round 4 Brandon Jacobs starting RB and one of the most dominant RB's i have ever seen, undrafted - James Butler starting SS, undrafted - Ryan Grant traded to packers and is their #1 back

2004 - round 1 Eli Manning reigning Super Bowl MVP, round 2 Chris Snee perhaps the best RG in the NFL, round 4 LB Reggie Torbor started late in the season and in Super Bowl XLII after Kiwanuka went out injured around week 10 and now plays for Miami after leaving in free agency, round 5 Gibril Wilson was starting SS but left for huge deal after Super Bowl, round 6 Jamaar Taylor who was a useful reciever that Eli connected with on deep plays a number of times but had to end his career early due to injury

So as you can see the reason why the Giants are defending champions and 10-1 is because of their success in the draft, particularly in the later rounds as the number of diamonds in the rough that they have found really is amazing.

Even this years crop look great with round 1 selection Kenny Phillips seeing more playing time at S, round 2 selection Terrell Thomas playing more in the nickel, round 4 selection Bryan Kehl splitting reps at OLB.

If i was the Browns i would keep Crennel for another year, he did take you to 10-6 last year and i think he should get another year as things just haven't worked out this season. Get rid of savage, hire someone experienced in drafting and i think you will see the Browns get back on track.

I like Crennell, i think he will eb a very good coach eventually its just whether the Browns give him time to guide their ship which they should do as he has shown that he can take you near the playoffs so give him next year to prove that it wasn't a fluke and a result of a weaker division that year and if he fails then i would say that then would be the time to part ways.
