I’m seeing lots of fans on Twitter saying that we should be thankful that we’re in the current situation. Over the summer, we could’ve gone into administration and gone bust, we could’ve lost our best players like Grealish, Chester and Kodjia, Bruce could have even resigned and left us in the shit.
That’s all well and good. I am thankful that the new owners have come in and saved us and we still have a team that can be competitive in the division.
But, now that all the off-field stuff has been sorted, we have to judge the manager on the recent performances given the squad we have now.
Not much has changed since last season, really. Yes, we’ve lost Terry, but if you look at the rest of the team I think we have a squad that is even better than last year.
We have a much stronger midfield with McGinn. We have Bolasie and El Ghazi offering pace and quality in wide areas. Barring any serious injury, we have Kodjia back to his best on the evidence of his Brentford performance.
Given this, promotion has to be the target and it really ought to be through the automatic spots.
If we don’t see significant improvement in performances and with it convincing victories over the next month, Bruce has to be sacked as we can’t let Leeds and Boro open up a big margin at the top of the table.
Before we know it, we’ll be settling for a playoff spot again and we all know what the outcome of that will be.

According to RMC Sport, we have an option to buy:
QuoteAfter rejecting Middlesbrough's offer, Everton midfielder Yannick Bolasie may soon enter with Aston Villa, who has made a Toffee loan offer with an option to buy, according to information from RMC Sport. A few weeks ago, the Congolese international was proposed the OGC Nice, without success.

This guy ain't much good.
Don't care about the goal. Blasted at him from 7 yards. Very tough.
But the low save to his right, and the late header. Technique all over the place. Not good at all.
What was wrong with the save low to his right? I thought it was a great save, particularly as the ball skipped off the turf just before it reached him.

Nixon says that you can only play five loan players, but foreign loans don't count. Is that true?

Can he take penalties?
If so, he's basically a clone of Milner.
I like Hourihane, but this guy is different class.

If we had have come out of that without a point, it would've been tough to take. Bolasie and El Ghazi in now to give us some much needed quality from wide areas. Let's go!

That's what bothers me, it'll just be the high balls for him to chest down or head, and then be expected to beat the last man too.
Brucey has done his research

LOVE U KODJ
-
Can we send him on loan please?
No doubt that he has huge potential but his development has completely stalled here.
He's now behind Elmo, Hutton, RDL and Axel for the RB spot.

brilliant stuff Kodj

Tuanzebe, Elphick, Taylor, Hourihane, Whelan, Adomah - all shocking.

Always nice to see the second-string staking their claims for a first-team spot

Brucey testing out Tuanzebe at CB

He was poor in the first half but he started to get his confidence back late on. Unlucky not to score when he did a brilliant piece of skill to cut back in on his left foot and shoot low where the keeper made a good save.
I agree with others that he isn't very effective when playing up front on his own. Instead, he ought to be instructed to move into the channels and drive at the full backs, because more often than not, he beats them with either skill or pace.

So where do we need to strengthen?
I heard we have 3 loan spots available. For me, it would be a CB, RM and ST.
