I want us to get back to the premier league as soon as possible and if Bruce, given his credentials, is the most likely to manage it then so be it. Once we're there, then we can look at who is best for the club long term, whether it's Bruce or someone else.
Getting theres one thing, staying theres another. Its understandable why people would question his appointment.

Can't say any of the runners inspire me much, even the ones with supposed 'championship' nous. The only one that perhaps intrigues me is Dyche because it would be interesting to see what he could do with the right backing. But I suppose thats irrelevant because it will probably be Bruce.

A lot of of people have suggested Bruce would be our best chance of a shot at promotion, albeit a short term arrangement if it actually came off.
Wonder if anyones mentioned that to him? Thanks for that and **** off.

Villa fans don't have the patience for anyone with a long term plan. So it looks like Potato Head will do.

After thinking long and hard about it, I'm hoping for Wanger. Just hope he's got the balls for the job.
He's every inch the bloke for us.

If you write Wagner on a piece of paper and look at it through a mirror, it spells manager
Well, not really, but still...
Yes I tried it, I'm not ashamed to admit it.

As long as none of those 'issues' were in connection with us, then I don't see any reason why Allardyce would not be amongst the front runners for the Villa job.
Not saying that he is my preffered choice, not sure who I prefer, but he fits the bill on so many counts.

I don't like Alladyce, but this is what happens when you have years of morale sapping, dreadful, dreadful football. He would defo get results, but he may view the Championship below him still?
Would he though? Opportunities might not be so forthcoming atm.

Ayew tracks back alot so i don't think were as lightweight in the middle as people think
Yes, its hard to pin him down sometimes as to where he's supposed to be playing. If he actually passed it a bit more it might bring others into the game

Reasonably confident with that.

Villa win.....and I'll keep saying it until we do.

Gollini stood his ground well then

It doesn't appear that Jedinak knows how to pass a football.
Or stand up apparently

For all these supposed leaders we've signed, nobodies leading.

If Ayew passes, we'll win this one.

I like the way he talks it up. Definitely seems more of a team player than, dare I say it, the great Tekkers (waits for lightning bolt).
-
Not sure how relevant his recent antics are tbh. I used to work a certain club in the 70's and used to see both Villa and Baggies first teamers there the night before a match, absolutely mullered. I remember a certain future England captain being half-carried out on more than one occasion, then putting in a totally effortless shift the next day.
I just think Jack might not be quite the 'wonder kid' some would have us believe. Good, yes, but just not great.

The SHA thing should'nt really be an issue anymore, if indeed it is. Bruce is no more a 'blose' man than he will be a 'Villa' man. Its a job to him, nothing more and probably believes the whole package is the best one out there for him.
Is he the best for us? No, but the present situation is what it is.
