Got 60 cm of snow over night 2 years back, still made it (and was expected to) on time for college at 8am, jsut took 30 minutes longer haha

On a related note, really hate the cold/snow unless it's so heavy I can't get to work.

I would think its somewhat like here where its a hassle while its going on and for a few hours after but generally withing 8-10 hours after the snow stops the road are all cleared up and off ya go . Still gotta make it to work and such though no mattter what the weather

Sitting at the lights waiting to turn down the highway into heavier snow conditions, this was 4 days ago. Wasnt to bad at that point.

The next night, driving home from work.

Picture ended up a wee bluring which doesnt make it look too bad. It was shite, 1am driving mid week, no traffic out so the roads are covered in snow and im the first one on alot of them. Fun times

Got about 30 cm outside right now, though we have closer to 50cm fall on the ground. the weather has just been weird here in central Canada and it was warm out a few days and melted some. Was around -18 the other day but nothing to bad yet. -40 is just around the bend though! I justh ope theres no -55 days this year

Similar situation that we had to deal with ehre in Canada when the US took its bailout for its banks and auto industry. Canada sent over between 30-40 billion to aid in the package because our economies are so intertwined. Though to be fair the only real reason Canada went down the tubes was because of the US. We had our share of lay offs etc with the crisis but prior to this gongshow we had little if any national debt. Majority of the country was on a big boom and things were looking swell. Thanks to our neighbours though we got dragged down a bit with them. Fortunently we have something everyone still needs and thats oil which really help us out during the tough times. Its not perfect here yet, but were well on our way.

Just finished Shake hands with the Devil which is a book about the Canadian peacekeeping mission in Rwanda and how everything happened and the true story etc. Fantastic read.
