  1. I put 15-19.9 million though I think the transfers will go one of two ways. Either a fair bit of money in january, and minimal in the summer, or switch those 2 around. I know RL might be a bitter with the $$ he has put in and was flushed away but we need at least some investment for GH to get the players he wants into his system.

I am sure he has been in talks with RL since hte moment he took control about the funds he wants/will need for January and the summer. My thoughts are he already has a list of the players he wants to bring in and their cost to the club. If we get the $$ expect the transfers to come fast and furious.

  2. I wasnt much of an online players with MW2 but now its pretty much all I have done since getting black ops and I was getting detroyed at first. I am getting much better at it now and it is fantastic. Nuketown is by far my favourite for some reason. Maybe because of how small it is and the constant attacking and fighting that goes on. Brilliant

  3. Dissapointing to conceed so late. YOung looked awful and sluggish in the match and didnt seem to know what to do once he got his feet to the ball. Nice to see the youngster do well and keep things in check for us as best they could. As others have said though our inability to finish out has cost us yet again.

  4. Yes Pompey I am from Canada. L:ittle place right in the middle of the country called Thunder Bay. Its in Northwestern Ontario about 110,000 people and an 8 hour drive from any other Canadian city. Beautiful though we are on lake surperior :)

  5. My moms got this nice Cannon camera me and my mate whos from Brighton went on an adventure around the city the other day. Tried to be creative :P

  6. Im on the fence with it really. I dont agree with animal cruelty but for whatever reason have never had a problem with this whole bull fighting. We slaughter millions of animals each year for food and they live in cramped and often unsanitary condistions, cant walk are injection with all kinds of hormones and crap and alot of people turn a blind eye to it. Plus I am Canadian and we are pretty accepting of most whacky cultural things here. We dont always agree with it but we just accept them.

  7. Heres a fun fact my home town of Thunder Bay Ontario is 751 km or about 468 Miles from the nextn earest Major city east west or south :). We are about 110,000 people so we arnt small just kinda in the middle of no where. Pretty much almost the distance from tip to tip in England if im not Mistaken :P.

It's about 550km to Minneapolis (which with its twin city of St. Paul has a metro area population of 2.8-3.5m, depending on the definition)

    Stpaul001.jpg

the Twin Cities are perhaps rather interesting, in that St. Paul is often held to be the last Eastern city in the USA (it is the furthest west place of significant population on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River) while Minneapolis is the first Western city.

O wow your right I always thought it was farther haha. Though like a good Canadian we measure distance in time. So its takes 7hours to drive there :P Which is not that much shorter than driving the 750km to Winnipeg. :P Been there many of times its a great city :)

  8. James Milner had very good reasona to want to leave Newcastle for Villa but he only has one reason to leave City for Villa, and that's money. There is a difference. I wouldn't mind if Milner left Villa for Chelsea or Man U.

He left Newcastle for Villa mainly due to money. He wanted a new contract with a higher wage and Newcastle wouldn't give it to him.

I like Milner a lot as a player (and he seems like a really decent guy as well), but let's not make him some kind of footballing saint. Just because he works hard and gives 100% effort doesn't mean he's immune to realistic concerns. He's been at three clubs by the age of 24, so he's clearly willing to move if he feels it will progress his career.

Progressing your career and moving for more money and different things. If he wants to progress career wish he should stay at Villa on the fact he will be a garuntee starter week in andweek out. City he will sit on the bench alot I and be twiddling his thumbs. A more correct assumpotion on your part would be "so hes clearly willing to move if he feels he can make more money" as thats whats ultimately happening.

  9. i dont blame him for wanting to go, we can all see the ambition man city are showing and sooner rather than later they are going to win the league and plenty of silverware, just like chelsea did, if they don't the arab's will soon sell up and move on and leave them in a whole lot of trouble.

so i have no problem with him wanting to move, and as much as it pains me to say we are not going to be competing with them, we might win the league cup and fa cup, and i would be happy with that, we are building a side and i have enjoyed the last 4 years under MoN and Randy and can't see anything to doubt them. it may take us longer to get to the top 4 and the elusive champions league but i think its possible, just dont think its possible for us to win the league, not unless Randy follows the arab's and starts throwing around money like confetti, which he wont and im glad he won't.

if milner stays he will get my support if he goes me move on like we have always done, we have lost bigger and better players in the past and will do in the future but AVFC gones on.

well put, well put indeed. It happens to everyone players have breakout years and are sold off the the highest bidder. Wheather by choice or by inevitability. He did his part at Villa. It would be great to see him stay and id still support him. But like you say Im not gonna boo the man if he leaves. Everyone needs to face it that if another job came up offering double pay with less work invovled (assuming JM rides the bench a bit) wed all jump at the chance.

The province of Manitoba is the size of two United Kingdom. Total population? 1.1 million. The UK has around 70 million so they would ahve 140mill give or take in the same space. Of the 1.1 million almost 1million are in one city alone :P. Gotta love Canada :P

  11. Cup final win andh ope for 4th. Need some silverware in the cupboards dontcha think? I would LOVE for Villa to finish 4th or higher but I dont feel this year we will be able to. We look for improvment every year and we got to Final and Semi Finals last year this year we need to win. Its an improvment and we can all have a piss up and celebrate :)

  12. If this improved bid has gone through I suppose it wont be long till we see Milner on his way outta Villa Park. Hes been great for the club but now unless there has beeen some massive kiss and make up session its pretty apparent hes on his way out. If there is disgust between him and MON best to sell himn for the offer even if its not the 30million hes valued at (inflationnnnnn).

  13. Nothing like a bit of Canadian Club...

(and given the last result of Villa @ Chelsea, I think consuming a handle is well justified!)

O yes sir its very good. Though my all time favourite is Wisers Deluxe. Not sure if youve ever had it it before. if not make sure to have it next time yous ee it!
