  1. Went off at half time too. Kicking the wooden door through and giving the metal roller door a right shilacking. Couple of Noses dragged through and given a right kicking.

A view from the other side...

Damn, I thought they were gonna tear the metal shutters down and steam right through or something! Disappointing! :)

+1, when the smashing went silent all I could picture was it bursting off the hinges and everyone rushing in

  2. Now, will the Blues fans be punished?

I think: No. If they are, a small fine.

Throw them out of the competition. Invading the pitch because they won a quarter final? Antagonising opposition fans and throwing missiles at them? Disgusting.

Perhaps if our own supporters didnt trash the sty (not that I mind) you might see that happen. but now its just going to be fines both ways and away allocation reduced ors omething. not that it will be a problem for the noses.

  3. I'm sorry but in a tense affair, if you allow fans to run across the pitch and goade the away fans, what the hell do you expect? The Police spent too much time at the Villa end instead of their end, if they had stood in lines at their end, there would have been no invasion. Go on the pitch and celebrate with your team but to goade the away fans, thats just wreckless from their Club.

And that's the point. A couple of mates pointed out that we invaded the pitch after the Blackburn semifinal but I replied that it was totally different as it was the sheer joy of getting to the final. No one went anywhere near the Blackburn fans.

On reflection I think some of our fans shamed our club last night but it seemed to me that a combination of the WMP and Blues Stewards let hundreds if not thousands of fans run riot on the pitch. Added to that we get all the usual stories of Blues fans after the game and they won. It beggars belief!

Saw that else where. O look Villa complain about a pitch invasion in the carling cup, well what about blackburn blah blah blah. Well that was a joyous celebration of going to the final and we didnt cause any nonsense with the away support now did we? **** noses, :bang:

  4. firstly - anyone calling for GH's head should grow up. Its not his team, so give him a chance.

secondly, I love the fact that Ash is suspended for Liverpool. Hopefully we can now play 2 proper strikers upfront, in a 442 and give it a good go. Gabby can work the wings (which he does very well) and he will know Fonz is in the middle waiting to tap it home, rather than Ash who will dick about with the ball on the edge of the box then put in a massively overhit cross 10 yards over the cross bar.

    Brad

    Luke - Cueller - Clark - Warnock

    Bannan - Ireland - Hogg - Downing

    Gabby - Fonz

    +1 as well

  5. Houllier out - 1 up front - boring and ineffective!

    We played 2 upfront. :?

Gabby up front, Ash, Clark, Hogg, Bannan, Downing in the mid, Young Collins Dunne and Warnock in the back? Not sure where 2 up front comes from there. Unless your making a smart ass remark and it just initialty went over my head.

You'd be pushing to say Young was a midfielder, probably the most attacking, further forward midfielder I've seen!

he played far more of a second striker rather than a midfielder.

    Touche

  7. My uncle always touches my leg and even higher up sometimes, when I told my Mom, next time I saw him, he said to not tell her again because it would make her disappear if she was told a 2nd time. No reason not to believe him.

    Apart from that, nothing really.

    :crylaugh:

  8. Well all things considered Id say im around an 8.

I have a job doing something I enjoy and am making decent to great money doing it (server so it depends on the day). Though based on where I worked before and the level im used to this is a huge downgrade and not nearly as exciting as my old job. But I still do enjoy it and the abuse many morons send my way on a daily basis.

I have found something I am truely passionate about and that is Aston Villa. I follow many sports teams and some for many many years now but I have never dedicated myself to any as much as Aston Villa. Im constantly on forums, im reading the latest news bits from my phone and I have a trip planned for the next year to come see three matches. Putting it into perspective a bit I have really only followed Villa for 2 years now and I am already on my way to see matches. The Green Bay Packers I have followed for about 12 years now and only got to see them for the first time last year in Florida. I have a passion for a sport that just 5 years ago I didnt follow in any way shape or form and now here I am planning for England, Birmingham, Aston, Villa Park.

Touching on the sports note I am finally getting a chance to see Green Bay play at home for the first time this weekend so I am now getting buzzed for the trip down there. Its going to be about -10 predicted which will be fantastic weather for the game!

I might not know what I want to do with my life just yet so until them I am jsut going to enjoy it all. Got a job application in the works to head back to my old job in Florida at Disney which some might have seen me post else where. So I can enjoy a year down in the sun!

No lady friend right now and it doesnt appear anything will be happening on that front anytime soon. Though life can change at any moment :)

  9. Big ears - this season has been one of disruption. From the scumbag acts of messers Milner and moreso O'Neill, through to the high number of injuries and the need to play young kids. That is not a settled squad nor will it be so for a while yet.

The poor form of the defence started last year under O'Neill. Some of the performances towards the end of the season were shocking and it seems that they have carried through. The midfield are thin on the ground, again something that was inevitable once Milner left. OK we have Ireland but he is not the influence that Milner was and that is leaving a hole. The forwards are still totally reliant on Gabby, someone who has suffered injury for the first time in a long time.

These are not excuses as such, just the reality of what a certain ex-manager started and is now occurring.

Tonight was a major disappointment the fact we lost, the continued bad form of a player like Dunne cannot be excused, he is a joke figure now and really needs to be dropped.

I've seen a lot of pathetic posts in this thread by people who want to pretend this game didn't mean as much to them as it did to Birmingham city.

This one, however, shines as a beacon of light amongst the emotional dross posted by so many and, as such, is worth repeating.

Ment alot to myself this match. Any chance to play the blues is going to be intense and close to my heart. I have been rather depressed since the end of the match. A passion (if you want to call it that) I have not felt for many of the teams i follow in sometime. Not to this extent. I am one of the people that are of the beleif this game could make or break the season. We will see what happens now....

  10. Didn't get to watch the game but I had Barcelona for the win. :) How bad was the tackle and the end of the game; I read it was a bad one?

Looked very nasty in slow mo after, though I dont think much came of it as messi was sitting up shortly after, prob just felt very uncomfortable.

  11. I can't lie, if I had balls then this sports weekend would have just kicked me in them repeatedly

It's been crap for me as well. Villa lose and even worse, play badly and the Redskins lose. Oh yeah, the stupid Jags didn't beat the Giants either :)

The Gators were smashed by Florida State as well :(

No surprise really with that scoreline to befair. Gators have been thumped by all decent competition this season. Notre Dame beat USC :D. first time since 01 felt amazing
