  1. Just booked my flight.

Leave Cincinnati Thurs 4pm - 5hrs in Detroit then arrive Friday 11am... Return Sunday 1pm to Seattle - arrive for an 8hour layover before catching an 11pm flight to Cinci arriving at 6.30am Mon morning.

EVERY SINGLE SECOND WILL BE WORTH IT!

    that's **** impressive

  2. Well I hadn't been paying any attention to this and it turns out we'll be playing 'Aston Villa that's who', a song I'd never heard before.

Having heard now it I feel culpable for not voting, it's humiliatingly bad, especially if it's supposed to be our version of YNWA. Hopefully we can drown it out on Sunday with some actual chants.

    Seriously who votes for that?

well that's the whole weekend ruined.

    Faulkner out

  3.

Or make it online only purchases for the first few days. I have absolutely no idea why anyone needs to call them up under normal circumstances. Calling with inquiries yes, but just to straight up purchase?

We've not done our bit here either!

I thought this too BUT I strongly suspect those that got online tickets got way less choice regarding seats than people who phoned up and spoke to a person.

I got my tickets online and had choice of about three high tiered blocks. No ideas of row etc. For the record I was quite early in the queue (ST with 2 FA Cup) but was quite disappointed with the options/ information. I was on at 9am on my first day of sale so wasn't exactly hanging about either.

Should we get to the final, I'd definitely phone up next time.

Same. I then called to say I wanted to be in the lower tier (none available at the time I logged on) and they switched them for me.....

  4. Found out our cat likes to play fetch

    Wtf!

Most cats will do that, especially when they are young - a small ball made from screwed-up silver paper is ideal. We had one cat who actually invented a game where she would flick said ball through the gap under a door, and you had to flick it back. We called it door tennis, and got some really good rallies going, trying to outwit each other by varying speed and angles. Her other favourite game was goalkeepers, where she stood in front of the door and you threw the ball, which she had to catch or bat away. It was bloody hard to score past her.
Sick. Sounds more fun than hanging out with humans.
  5. Do you think it's likely to go beyond 5+ home games. I throw my hands up, and admit I've only been once this season (due to various reasons), so fully appreciate those who have made an effort should get first dibs. Just wondering if we'll actually sell out under the current criteria?

I got one of the last tickets to the CC final in 2010 with 6 home fixtures that season.

Can't remember the total allocation that day but you'd imagine there was greater demand for the final than a semi-final.

Yep, I got mine in the same window too. Also got an FA Cup Semi Final that season. As I say, it's only fair to give those who have bothered this season. They deserve it, having to sit and watch the tripe served up for most of the season!

Agreed. Think I'll miss out this year having only been to 5 matches.

Feel very silly not having bought the cheap FA tickets in early rounds or indeed a Villa Cash membership.

  7. Clearly a very different coach to Paul, not necessarily a bad thing, but hard to imagine the players will be afforded the same protection they enjoyed under Paul. We better hope they're ready for that?

He's worked at one club and won't be able to call upon the Chris Ramsey's of this world to help him. Who else does he know?

If he is to get the job, the Director of Football would need to be able to stand up to him if some of the reports of his undermining of AVB are to be believed.
