  1. Thought their LB Taylor did an excellent job on Cash. He was as almost as crucial as Pope for them.

Was fun with Coutinho as a deeper playmaker and pretty much everyone bar Dougie playing super attacking.

Lack of intensity and ideas in first half.... not for the first time.

Availability and fit let kappa down, they had some good stuff but the stock levels were garbage

Lots of folks seem to say that but I've always been able to get shirts late into the season at big discounts so have always been happy. Pro fits were a great option I thought so happy with sizing also.

West Indies, South Africa and England cricket teams, Andy Murray, Adam Peaty and mclaren F1 team too

    Huge push from them

And not a single good bit of clobber among the lot. So disappointed we've signed with them. Thought Kappa were ace.

  4. I've watched pretty much every OM game since the turn of the year but I have a real blind spot for rating midfield players so would be interested to know what others see in his game and how well he might fit into out system?

For me, he is incredibly composed and calm on the ball and very rarely loses possession. He's got a very nice range of passing but I wouldn't go as far as saying he was a deep lying playmaker.

Doesn't look the biggest in terms of height or general stature but seems more than able to hold his own physically. It would be nice for us to have a really imposing DM for a change but I'm not sure he is that...

But he does have great defensive instincts and anticipation for interceptions and has played a fair amount of CB earlier in his career.

Not convinced we'll be able to sign him given the amount of competition there will likely be for him but we can hope.

As I type this Marseille have gone 2-0 down at Rennes which could yet cost them UCL qualification, might mean Caleta-Car more likely to want to leave this summer but in my opinion he would not represent a big upgrade on the CBs we already have.

  5. The dude seems like a bit of an operator but more than an element of risk to this appointment imo.

Hope he's not averse to signing a couple of not so exciting veterans with plenty of PL know how in addition to his usual targets.

    Either way - welcome Johan!

Looks like Arteta will rest a number of players for this. we are playing them at a good time. I know they have beaten the two best teams in England lately but they are already in the europa league, nothing to play for.

Don't think they qualify for Europe unless they win the Cup.

He’s had an absolutely awful season. But then, we all knew he would. He played well 4 or 5 times in the championship and someone at the club thought he’d be able to do it week in week out in the premier league.

    Madness.

    Get rid.

    categorically untrue for me clive

If Targett is out and Taylor plays then it'll be even worse for our attacking play.  I've never known a full back like Taylor who doesn't even try to put a cross in.  I think we need Fred back.

Cuellar at RB was pretty remarkable under O'Neill. Don't think he was allowed to cross the half way line let alone put a cross in.

Do we think that overall recruitment was poor. I think it was, but interested to know what others think.

You have to say it was poor - even when acknowleding it was an extremely challenging situation needing so many players to fill the squad.

With hindsight we've fallen into a similar trap to the Sherwood summer when we bought with an eye on future potential and re-sale value (Gana, Adama, Vertout, Amavi etc) and didn't get the balance right with some PL experience.

I wouldn't have thought much of it at the time but Gary Cahill would have been a brilliant signing this summer. We've lacked know how and leaders in the side.

  10. Good news if we've managed to agree a deal to sell. The guy desperately lacks quality. How did he arrive with the reputation of such a skilful inventive player?!

Wonder how different the season might have been if we'd landed Benrahma instead.
