General A few names mentioned by media and fans : David Moyes, Mark Hughes, Sam Allardyce, Phil Scolari, Gus Hiddink, Martin Jol, Slaven Bilic even Roberto Mancini. Obviuosly we need a high profile name with experience and good man managament to continue our ambition. Will Randy or Paul be releasing any statements ?? General Whatever the reasons were for MON to quit and whoever replaces him, I hope Randy realises that we have to spend money in the premier league on players to progress as well as balancing the books. We need a top quality manager with a proven track record to replace MON in order to take our club forward. Hopefully we will have this person in place ASAP to start our season and to build our team with additions and coach our present players. We have faith in Randy, Paul and your good self, please do not let us down. Please do keep us updated on a regular basis. Thank you Sir

General I tend to agree with points raised by imavillan. we must do all we can to keep our players including James Milner. However I have renewed my season ticket because 1; I love Villa and still want to be part of it. 2; I have every faith in MON, Randy, your good self and all concerned to get it right for us to progress without being a feedeer club. General Thanks very much for your informative reply which is appredciated. It shows we are still movig forward and is reassuring of our bright future. I am pleased with what you said, a big club such ours deserves more global recognition. I am exited and looking forward to the much needed new North stand. I hold a season ticket in North stand lower and compared to other stands at Villa Park, the North tand lower concourses could do with more space and facilities. But seating. atmoshere and view is excellent. Do you know or can you say when work would start also what plans, seating capacity etc. After sunday, I will miss going to games at Villa Park (my church - sacred place of worship). I get serious withdrawal syndrome every summer. Thanks again Sir

General I know you are not at liberty to divulge about specifics from the board meetings, but overall, Are there any plans for us to progress further regarding our club overall ? Global branding ? Squad/team expansion/additions ? (not asking about actual transfers) Any Villa park plans ?( North Stand expansion / development?) Do we have a "five year plan " as I read in press in 2006 ? If so how is it going ? I am asking these questions because I love Aston Villa and want the best we can for our great club and I do not believe all that I read in the national press. Thank you Sir

General I agree with you entirely that we all need to sing, chant and cheer our lads on loud and proud for all of us to get that win, we can do it Sir. We need to outsing the away fans all throughout the game. My voice is in fine tune and ready. I hope all our Villa family will make Villa Park will be the loudest it has been since our 5 - 1 derby demolition. We will be loud for you and all of us, thinking of you watching on telly in the good land of the USA.

I remember one of your classic posts (re carling cup), partly quoted below, If I were talking to the team, I would simply say that "Destiny and your talent have brought you to this moment in time. You all are in good condition, you have trained hard, you have the support of the most rabid fan base in the Premiership, and You know you can beat them if you play your hearts out. General, this can be applied to the blues game sunday because we are better than them and I really hope our players are really fired up and ready to win. General I remember reading some of your previous posts in which you mentioned that you drove some long distance journies in the US, if your doctors knew this would it encourage them to give you permission to fly ? I have flew to the US and surely the doctors would also realise that an 8+ hours flight is less stressful than long distance driving I wish you well General, hopefully you will be back at Villa Park soon - our sacred place of worship Thank you Sir

General The North stand lower concourses get very congested, they seem too small in relation to the amount of people in this area. To make these more pleasant and safer, will the plans for new North stand include making the North stand lower concourses bigger or make them into one big concourse ??

Hi General, this is my first posting on this thread (new member). Along with VILLAFC2000 and villaAsh, I also thank you & Randy for all what they mentioned. Also General, I was on my way into Villa park in the summer to renew my season ticket (on my way into work) and I met you outside the Holte pub, thank you for being so pleasant and kind to let me have a picture taken with you.
