You are important, maybe more important than you would realise, just as Randy and Paul are important. You are much more than ''just a board member'' or 'just a director' to us fans. Randy, Paul and your good self have done so much for us fans and our club so you should be on it, you deserve to be because you are as highly honored as Randy and Paul are.

Putting your name on the card is very important to us fans, as I am sure many others will agree.

If a card is sent out hopefully your name will be on it ??

Good to see you back on the site, hope you had a good trip.

This may be off topic but as we know, Christmas is coming, last year we were mailed a Christmas card with Christmas wishes and signed, pre printed, from Randy and Paul Faulkner. A very nice gesture from our club to us fans ( I still have it). But the first thing my wife and I said to each other was ''Where is the General's name on the card ? why is he not on it ? He should be.''

I bet many other fans were asking the same.

What I am asking is, if our club sends cards again this Christmas, please would you be included in the card along with other names on the card ??

1. The game: I confess that today's game, in some ways, reminded me of some of our Superbowl games in the US. What is hoped for...an exciting and dramatic game...becomes not so exciting and dramatic because it is played conservatively on both sides. Each wants to win very badly but they also do not want to lose. Having some key players out hurt us a bit...I am sure that GH had to alter his strategy to make up for changes in the lineup. I thought the 2nd half was better...some good substitutions caused more creativity. I hate draws but I would not have wanted to come away with zero points. I honestly believe we are the better team and we will show it when we play them the next couple of games.

Yes Sir, you are correct. We ARE the better team, we are better than them. Always have been, always will be. It was a good atmoshere, our fans were loud. I hope our fellow fans will be as loud for ALL our games. Like the Rapid Vienna fans.

I am proud and honoured to have met members of the board who to me are friends as part of our Villa family. Even more proud to be a Villa fan.

When looking to book match tickets on avfc website ticket page, to check ticket availability individual blocks in each stand can be checked but there are no individual seating plans for each block. It would be helpful and advantageous to view seating plans to see which specific seats are available (like they are in theaters, arenas etc), especially as my wife is disabled.

Why are actual seating plans not availlable to view ??

Please could it be possible to have all the seating plans be put on to view for booking tickets ?? (to help me understand : if not why not ?)

Thank you Sir, based on what you wrote above, you also were absolutely right when you previously said that our club want the ''right person for the job''.

We got him.

I felt and could see so much positve optimism from GH and PF on Friday. Now we can ALL work towards our bright fututre.

It is ultimately down to players on the pitch to perform well along with our manager playing his part but us fans play an important part in supporting players to perform well also showing our support to our manager (and to our board on here).

I was right to have faith, trust and patience in our board making the right decision in appointing our new manager and I still have have faith in our board and manager to aim higher with all of us to get trophies and top four. We done it before, we'll do it again.

I say 'our' because like GH said ''we are all in this together''.

Pleased you are back also pleased with Gerard Houlier being appointed.

Went to villa Park Friday and met Gerard Houlier and Paul Faulkner, very pleasant people. There was (and is) a lot of positivity again at Villa. Also met Jack Woodward he said ''be optimistic and have faith''. I agree with this.

We should all get behind GH, he knows fans are important and us fans are all part of this.

Will GH be in charge with a number 2 and full staff by the time we play Wolves ?

I have read conflicting newspaper reports regarding David Moyes and a potential manager shortlist of 4 other names and Kevin Macdonald. I don't believe all that I read. I would like to believe some reports and would not like to believe others.

I say to you, Randy and Paul that we are all trusting and relying on the board to appoint a manager who is best for our ambitions and values of our great club. Never have you all been relied upon so much. What you have all done is appreciated.

Thank you for keeping us posted with updates. Hope we get David Moyes or Kevin Macdonald OR David Moyes as manager with kevin Macdonald as No.2; ie first team coach.

About a year ago when people were asking about an iPhone app I (and others) said that if you were looking to release an iPhone app you should also develop an Android app as market share was catching up. As it is now Android-based phones outsell iPhones in the US and UK and I think that while the iPhone is still a massively popular platform, you've missed an opportunity to reach more devices. Can you confirm or otherwise if you're planning on developing an Android AVFC app? I would pay for it.

This is not an 'I told you so' or any kind of debate on the merits of either platform (there's other threads for that) but I do feel yourself (on behalf of the club) could draw on the resources in this forum a little more - there are people from all trades on here and some of them really know what they're talking about, willing to give advice for the good of the club.

I know I asked you before if there would be official android app you replied sayiing only the iphone app, but please do seriously consider an android app. You will be surprised at the vast popularity of android phones and at how many android phones are sold in UK, US and worldwide

It will increase revenue and increase branding for our great club. Dirk1978 (who I agree with entirely), myself and MANY others would pay for it.

Please can an android app be considered with a view to having one in the near future ???

Just to say, I passionatelly support Villa and everyone at our club through thick and thin. I have FAITH and appreciation in what you, Randy, Paul and others are doing and have done at OUR great club. I say our club as we are all in this together. I say faith as I know you and Randy in particular are fans as well as board members. My support is ALWAYS there.

Yes, I wonder what is going on but I know work is being done behind the scenes because it has to be, as we are too big to stagnate. I don't believe all I read in the media. We are not ''a club in turmoil'' as previously reported. I feel that the next few weeks will be a turning point for us. So to you and all involved - keep up the good work. Hopefully you can keep us informed and updated on developments as much as possible (depending on what you are at liberty to divulge - I understand this).

My thoughts, with a little more speculation.

U.S.based-Mr Lerner lives 3303nm from BHX and 2550nm from where Klinsmann lives. Whilst he may be nearer to JK than VP, they can hardly be considered neighbours!

Milan-whilst this appeared to be a family trip, his family were over in the UK at the time, so if dad needs to go somewhere nice and different on business and he has his own private jet, why not join him?

Mr Lerner's jet was due to depart today but left two and a half hours later. Not dramatic, because the idea of owning a private jet is that it goes when you want it to, but obviously he is busy.

Also Mr Lerner's jet can easily fly non-stop to his home, or to Cleveland, where the Browns are at home tomorrow, or even further. Today it has flown to a well known refuelling stop, used by aircraft that need to fly on to the west coast, or the deep south. Unfortunately I lost the ability to track his jet within the US after the takeover thread, so that nugget of speculation will have to stay just that!

Speculation aside, I don't see Mr Lerner chasing around Europe or the world after prospective candidates, I think that the expectation (rightfully) would be for them to come to him.

Presumably he will be watching the Browns tomorrow, after which maybe over to Newcastle and back to Brum.

Let's pray for 3 points Sunday and then see what next week brings....

In relation to my disabled ticketing issue, after speaking to Nicky Keye's staff and meeting Sheila Maybury, everything is now sorted to for my wife to attend games with disabled concessions.

However would I have been entitled to a partial refund due to the ticket error for the West Ham game and when you said that "something definitely seems wrong'' (as mentioned in the previously) ? What is your opinion Sir ?

I hold a season card for North stand lower. I took my wife who is registered disabled to the West Ham game, the ticket office told me there were no disabled seating available. My wife can walk short distances but has difficulty going up and down stairs so I 'upgraded' my seat to lower trinity for £17 and paid £35 for my wife (total £52).

However. since then a fellow season ticket holder told me that because I went as my wifes carer, I should not have paid £17 extra for my seat as disabled carers go free.

General, please can you clarify this point and is there anything I can do ???
