I am trying to figure out who could be selected. Some reports said Ancelotti has been aproached by Villa and has 48 hours (sat/sun) to decide if he is interested.

There has not been much news (if any recently) of David Moyes, One thing I remember is that shortly before Houllier was appointed there was not much (if any) news on Houllier.....Does this say anything ?

After I emailed PF about Moyes an Ancelotti, I had a reply thanking me and that ''my ideas have been noted'' ....Does this say anything ?

I subsequently replied back asking for RL to read my email.

I am just trying to 'read between the lines' on certain things.

Then again are any other ex chelsea managers in contention...?...Scolari or Ranieri..?

Hopefully we can 'get our heads together' between us and hopefully try and work out who will be our next manager.

Why is betting suspended on 'next villa manager' on paddypower?

I vaguely remember just before Houllier was appointed, the odds on him were not too high and I can't remember him being favourite odds. So, do bookies odds mean anything or give an indication who could be appointed ??

Among any advisors in selecting our new manager, would Doug Ellis have any imput ? I hope he does.

Would opinions of fans be considered ? A lot of us fans are knowledgable, if fans opinions are considered with the right manager in to match our ambitions, match attendances would substantially increase. Any initial financial burdens would be recouped many times over in the long term by increased revenue by selecting the right choice.

The most popular choices are David Moyes (wants a fresh challenge) and Carlo Ancelotti (wants to manage in the premiership). These are the only 'right' (very popular) choices in the opinions of fans. Obviously, it is up to the board who is selected.

Will the board please do their upmost to get one of these by selling our club (history, status, ambition etc) to them and the emphasise the support the new manager would have from the board ?

A lot of hope and faith is really placed in the board to do what is needed to get the right person to match our our ambitions and show how ambitious the board are. Randy lets his actions speak more than words ?

I look forward to our manager situation being sorted. If Gerard decides not to return as manager, maybe he would consider another role at Villa ? If he decides to return as manager then at least he will have time and support to build in pre season.

1. Obviously the entire Board is disappointed over this season...it has not been what we expected and it certainly is not what we wanted to give the fans. We will be evaluating our situation and will be taking action to ensure that we start next year on a positive note. As you might imagine, we certainly wanted to do that this year!! It would be great to honor Prince William by sending him a signed card, perhaps in with a presentataion frame, a commemorative gift of some sort. We should acknowledge him with our pride that the future king is a fellow Villa fan as it is something to be proud of being supported by royalty. If that hit the media, it would be good for marketing and branding as well as showing how proud we are of Prince William.

The video being played at Villa Park would build an atmoshere really good to motivate the players, GH and fans (everyone in the ground) to pull together to win each game if the video was shown (with good sound) at the start of all our remaining home games. Us fans need to outsing away fans as we need players perform and play well, I wish we were as loud as Rapid Vienna fans.

Could the video be shown at the start of each game and perhaps again at the start of second half ?

I am very concerned with the way things are going and what position we will be in at the end of the season ... very concerned indeed.

GH and players should be concerned and at least show it I hope Randy is concerned and can use his position as chairman to further alleviate these concerns.

It is appreciated what Randy has done and you are appreciated for communicating with us, hope this is continued. You both are highly respected. We are in this together and something needs to be done before it is too late ... now it is getting late.

We made a lot of noise at the Man City game. Could you hear us fans on TV in the US ?

Well, I can remember when the Holte End used to be a wall of noise and so intimidating for the opposition. But now......well, these days theres more of a ruckus made out our local WI on bridge night!

I tend to agree, the Holte used to be CONTINOUS loud noise to support the lads and get the other stands going. The Holte should be the loud speaker of the ground, the altar of our church. The Holte should live up (and loud up) to its legendary status.

Slightly OT but I think we should come out to iron man by Sabbath - it woudl be awesome! Let's crank it up to 11 and make Villa Park an intimidating place to come for teh opposition - a song like that especially pumped up and loud would get the fans going!!

What GH has done and said is detrimental to our stature, credibility, respect, revenue. Since GH came in I thought give him a chance but surely after his insulting antics at Anfield the board need to hold an urgent board meeting and take action. The players and us fans need a manager to improve the way the players play.

I am apprehensive to say this but this is now the last resort. Will we read ''Villa in hunt for new manager'' ? GH should be given a different role or go, management restructuring is urgently needed.

I have asked you this before but I agree with this post. I don't know if you understand how popular android is. Android is VERY popular in UK and I would believe also in US, Europe and worldwide. You said there were no plans for android (why not ???) but us fans would prefer an OFFICIAL app as opposed to unofficial app which just collates news stories from the internet.

An android app should be definately be looked into with a view to having one as opposed to disregarding and underestimating android.

A lot of us would pay more than £2 for the app. Also, it would increase revenue and branding.

Yes us fans have an impact on results but also the players do, at each game we are all in it together. It is dissapointing to concede lat goals. We all need to be consistently loud like fans of Rapid Vienna, Man Utd etc to help the players.
