  1. Mark Viduka was always described as lazy.  Actually google Viduka and Lazy and he even describes himself as lazy.  What a goose.  Nice hat trick against Liverpool mind.

Can you get Now TV in the US, maybe via a VPN?

Cheers for the input BOF and Genie. Bit the bullet and went for F1TV. Only $60US. There was some more updated info on reddit. People are complaining about the 25 FPS (normal 50 FPS?) but watching some old races it looks OK. Maybe my bad eyes or maybe the beers but it’ll do. The endless saga of Villa has left me a little giddy with anticipation. Roll on Friday.

  3. So I am in America and thought I would see how I can watch the season.  Looks as if a streaming service F1TV is the way to go.  What gives me pause is that discussion on Reddit, all be it, rather old is that it is a waste of time. ie very poor quality.  Has anyone heard anything about this service?  It is dirt cheap but then again so am I 😁

  4. If I was a reporter I would like ask the don “If a bunch of teens could cause so much havoc, why do you deny that the full intelligence apparatus of an enemy state could and did interfere with the US election?

  5. Question: on IMDB the whole show (DC Legends of Tomorrow) has a ranking of 6.8/10 yet the lowest ranked episode is 7.4 moving up to 9 I think was the highest.  How can the overall ranking be significantly lower than the lowest episode? Or am I missing something.

Watched another Neflix doco series, How to Fix a Drug Scandal. Not outstanding, but definitely worth a watch.

Just finished it as well. Could have been maybe compacted a bit more. Boiled my piss with one of the final what happened screen shoot info of the outcome of a couple of the folk involved. Nonsense really.

Saw her chest region repeatedly from the front row, dead center.  I have no idea how she thought the top was going to stay up.  She, as in Belinda Carlisle solo opening for David Bowie sometime in 1990. 8/10.  When Bowie started maybe 2 songs in my wife, well girlfriend, got somewhat squashed and passed out. Had security drag her over the barrier.  He was not too happy when I jumped over as well. She recovered and we saw the rest of the show from a long was away.

I wonder how the pigeons are getting on for food now that there are a LOT LESS people around, to feed them or drop stuff.

I suspect they are expiring and are being eaten by the rats.  Question is what are the rats going to eat once pigeon is off the menu?

  9. I work for a small business (used bookstore) in the states. We tried to apply for a SBA loan (loans for small businesses that are forgiven after three? months as long as the money goes to wages). The only problem is the banks are prioritizing applicants that have a loan with them. We have had the same bank for over 20 years, but no loan, so they are not processing our application. Now I am on unemployment.  Frustrating.

  10. Just finished the fourth season of Heist. I am sure, well almost, that maybe in season 2 & 3 the bounds of credulity were somewhat pushed. This season was excellent. 8/10 wba and will do when the next season rolls in.  Having said that I guess all new TV/movies are off the board.  Sigh.

What’s the VT moral stance on ordering ‘non-essential’ items online for home delivery?

Twitter seems split 50/50 between - it’s helping keep some people in work and parts of the economy going, or anybody who orders anything that isn’t food/medicine is a mass murdering scumbag?

I’ve ordered quite a bit of stuff recently, majority essential, but a fair amount that isn’t.

There is ordering from Amazon and ordering through Amazon.  If it is fulfilled by Amazon, yes it is done in a huge warehouse by folk that are stressed, overwhelmed, overworked, not protected and paid poorly.  If it is not processed by Amazon but by a independent store for example the bookstore I work at. I will go in tomorrow and process any orders that we have.  Hopefully that will keep our heads above water and we can come out of this somewhat intact. Now adding volume to the postal service is another conundrum that is beyond pay grade. But books are a good thing.  More reading, less nonsense would be a good thing.

  12. I have an uncomfortable feeling that shit is going to go crazy.  But not without cause.  In the US the level of debt (eg. car loans - and that was the next crisis that was going to hit) is staggering. This could be a situation that will literally change the world. Without getting apocalyptic with you having Boris and us having Trump in charge maybe a shit show of staggering proportions. Having said said  that my cat is happy and I have had maybe one or two.
