  1. In my oppinion it was a close game Which Liverpool certainly did not dominate for if they had then surely they would have won more convincingly 2-0 or.3-.0, 4-0.

We were dominated by liverpool when we played them back in March at anfield but not last night.

Up untill the goal I can only remember Liverpool really testing Fridel once though Gerrards lob shot.

Possesion was pretty much even, liverpool edged it on shots.

If you look at the goal Liverpool scored they were fortunate, first of all Dunne slips letting Kuyt in, when the Ball gets played to the centre I think Gabby makes a challenge and the ball rebounds conventionality straight into the path of Torres, who took his goal very well.

    keep the faith.

Heres to a win on Saturday!

  2. Massive, massive, massive game tonight.

No matter what team liverpool put out and what form they are in you are certainly guaranteed a tough game.

It will be a test of our squad with two games in two days and Ashely Young suspended! I think that it will be a straight swap Sidwell for Young with Millner and Downing on the flanks, although I would love to see Reo Cocker start - he was class at anfiled this season.

Dont think we have beaten them at home since 1998 so there no better time to beat them that now!

Heres to a Heskey Hat trick!

  3. It sound like there is a lot of respect from Stoke for us this season!

I would expect them to come to Villa Park defend in numbers, work tirelessly and hit Villa on the counter attack like they did against Spurs away this season!

As against Hull an early goal will be important as then stoke will have to come out and attack early on leaving them prone to the counter attack.

Robert Huth is serving a one match suspension for them he is one of there key defenders so lets hope Heskey and Gabby can take advantage of this!

    Heskey Hatrick!

  4. Its certainly Nice to see the pundits on MOTD particularly Hansen rate Villas chances on breaking in to the top four!

When asked by Gabby Yorath how far do you think villa can go he responded roughly

“ I think that game was massive for villa, he’s got a great 1-11 team, strength in depth on the bench.

Will they faultier like they did last time, I don’t think so. I think they will go from strength to strength.

I think they have got a great chance of breaking in to the top four"!

Bring on Arsenal and Liverpool! :D

  5. Hi General,

I am fairly knew to the posting forum so I would just like to take the opportunity to thank you and mr Lerner for everything you have done within the club especially:-

    - The free scarf’s handed out at the Sheffield United and flags for CSKA Moscow.

    - The large Villa flag displayed in the Holte end before home games

    - The reconstructed mosaics above the Holte end

    - The restorations of the Holte end suite.

I think you are all doing a truly commendable job. You have been uplifting and inspiring and your continuing take this club forward.

I was wandering what your favourite Villa goal of all time is?
